Who we are?
We are a new and rapidly growing team of change agents inside J.P. Morgan, driving a major transformation in how data & analytics powers Wholesale Payments for our clients. The Wholesale Payments team comprises of Treasury and Merchant Services.

Our group balances the art of decision making with science to deliver actionable insights and innovative data products at scale. Client needs are at the center of all we do: it always starts with a deep understanding of the client needs to ultimately design a rewarding and meaningful user experience.

Within the Business Transformation group, WPD&A is defining and executing the multi-year global analytics strategy and roadmap for the firm, driving the build-out of the analytics environment and innovative data products, establishing cross-functional and cross-LOB data assets, and shaping overall analytics best practices.

The role
• Define the “what” – based on understanding on what adds business value to our client and Wholesale Payments as a business
• Drive and own end-to-end progress – based on clear understanding of the “what”, needs to make decisions and review output that leads to overall positive outcome
• Define content and build analytics to enable direct delivery mechanisms, value added tools / services for clients
• Align the firm – delivering a solution requires collaborating across many cross-functional groups (e.g., analytics, sales, technology, data, compliance, legal); the solutions delivery manager needs to have a good understanding of all functions (with an analytics focus) and create alignment by working across these functions
• Define and deliver consultative support for both internal and external analytics insights based on large volumes of data
• Develop strategy for utilization of external data sources to improve insights and analytical conclusions
• Improve the data quality of current reporting to support the delivery of insights across all analytics platforms globally
• Develop ways in which we can use our data assets for clients to improve their experience
• Define content and build analytics to enable direct delivery mechanisms, value added tools / services for clients
• Definition and execution of new business models / services based on data

Experience and skill requirements
- Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree is a minimum, Masters/MBA strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the payments industry, technology-enabled industries, and/or at a top tier management consulting firm
• Proven experience collaborating with/managing large teams of partners, executives and customers in an advanced analytical environment, building strong relationships
• Proven experience with emerging technologies related to insights (e.g., Tableau)
• Synthesizing data sets to streamlined, clear and actionable messages
• Experience with creating business initiatives and communicating ideas with a digitally focused and data driven mindset
• Ability for rapid prototyping (in Excel, Tableau); understanding of SQL, R, and/or Python is a benefit but not a must
• In-depth understanding of the payments value chain (merchants, brands, acquirers, networks, issuers)
