The Solutions Marketing Manager will report to the Head of Solutions Marketing for SMB Merchant Services and will be integral to the achievement of aggressive growth goals for the Merchant Services specifically and Chase for Business broadly.  The successful candidate will develop and execute SMB product/solutions marketing strategies for the US and Canada. They will reinforce and elevate Chase’s position as a leading payments/financial services provider for small business owners.  Success in the role will be tied to SMB growth; greater awareness, consideration and adoption of Chase Merchant Services across target verticals and SMB life-stages. 


  • Develop/refine a differentiated Chase Merchant Services value story, positioning and messaging framework grounded in small business owner needs (by vertical and business life stage) and unique Chase benefits and capabilities. Ensure appropriate positioning and messaging used by field teams (Sales and Relationship Managers) as well as in direct marketing channels.
  • Create streamlined product bundles that deliver a cohesive suite of solutions from mobile readers and terminals to tablet point-of-sale and integrated payments within software to support small business owners as they grow
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and breakthrough marketing to merchandise our solutions via in-person and digital (owned and third-party) channels
  • Inform the product commercialization activities  (as a primary stakeholder) and lead the marketing launch of new products, features and benefits – guiding  channel marketers, the field teams (sales and relationship managers) servicing, and cross-line of business partners on product marketing strategy
  • Drive the market and competitive research agenda, partner with those teams to deliver insights to identify or inform business opportunities and marketing strategies
  • Partner closely with product strategy on the product development roadmap and end-to-end product experience
  • Create toolkits and enablement materials for sales and marketing, ensuring all are equipped to sell Merchant Services as a solution and specific product offerings
  • Guide channel marketers, the field teams (sales and relationship managers) servicing, and cross-line of business partners on product marketing strategy
  • Track and measure engagement with product marketing assets; tie back to business impact and demonstrate return on investment

  • Robust product marketing experience preferably in payments, FinTech or consumer technology

  • Experience executing marketing strategies within digital marketing with direct response efforts and field teams (sales and relationship managers)

  • Experience developing clear and compelling value propositions for both physical products and services; ability to simplify messaging for maximum impact

  • Experience developing breakthrough marketing assets to commercialize value proposition with client-facing stakeholders

  • Ability to think strategically (big picture) and connect the dots to individual tactics; desire to "roll up your sleeves" and “own” projects - manage the details of project execution

  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills; excellent story-telling skills

  • Ability to influence across and up the organization to drive prioritization of opportunities with partners and stakeholders

  • Ability to develop strong relationships across functions, able to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members

  • Highly curious with proven creative problem solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement; strong customer/client-centric focus as default lens

  • High energy and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work well under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Effective agency/vendor management for maximum value and delivery of high quality deliverables

  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude; must be comfortable managing through ambiguity, fluid business environment

  • Track-record of flawless execution and delivering strong results

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of relevant experience
