Merchant Services is seeking an experienced product owner to drive the development of key technology capabilities in middle-office enterprise applications.

   


Responsibilities 


 

  • Define a product strategy ensuring all stakeholders requirements are satisfied and prioritized
  • Define new product features, working collaboratively with business and engineering teams across Wholesale Payments to ensure a unified product landscape
  • Assess value, develop use cases, prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on delivery with maximum value aligned with product strategy
  • Create clear product epics and requirements that are easily understood by business and engineering partners and then validate delivery against those requirements, owning the work from start to finish
  • Represent the voice of the customer as a part of an agile development methodology
  • Own and manage a product backlog, with accountability for clearly expressing all backlog items, user stories and acceptance criteria to best achieve product strategy
  • Lead objectives across a complex ecosystem across multiple scrum teams, environments, QA, designers, and editorial for on-time delivery
  • Influence development release plans and set expectation for delivery of new features and functionality
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of release/sprint goals
  • Define and execute a project communications plan to provide regular updates to the Executive Steering Committee, through update meetings and project tollgate processes.
  • Support and maintain product documentation & guidance
  • Develop a regular training series for the consumers of the product, ensuring function and feature awareness.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader to collaborate with design, engineering and marketing teams to drive new marketing product initiatives
  • Maintain, evolve, and communicate best practices and lessons learned. Apply learning to improve process and delivery of so


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Previous working and hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle as a product owner or similar role in product management
  • Must be a self-starter & detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects across varying timelines concurrently
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development practices and core infrastructure technologies
  • In-depth working knowledge of Agile methodology, principles and processes
  • Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence or similar project and issue management tools highly preferred.
  • Previous experience of API integration development and 3rd-party support as part of product/project implementation
  • Ability to build high-level mocks for concept sharing for prototype phase
  • Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills combined with an ability to interact effectively with business, infrastructure and technology leaders
  • Ability to work effectively and influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Adaptability and ability to focus and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under intense pressure
