The Corporate Responsibility (CR) department is responsible for helping drive inclusive growth and engaging the communities that the firm serves around the world. Specifically, CR is developing goals, policies and initiatives that align with and support the firm’s business strategies and operational objectives to increase economic opportunity for all where we do business.


The CR department is comprised of Global Philanthropy, Global Government Relations, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Office of Nonprofit Engagement, Sustainable Finance, and the JPMorgan Chase Institute. The department also works closely with the firm’s major lines of business to ensure these efforts are deeply rooted in how the firm does business around the world.


The CR communications team is looking to fill the role of Vice President, Strategic Communications for Corporate Responsibility. This role will report to the Executive Director of Strategic Communications. This position will act as Corporate Responsibility’s primary liaison to the firm’s Corporate Marketing team. They will develop strategies and execute campaigns to increase awareness of the firm’s contributions to our communities and maximize the value, reach and impact of the firm’s CR efforts externally around the world.


CR seeks an experienced strategic communications professional who will:

  • Develop and implement creative and dynamic externally-facing strategic marketing plans that amplify the firm’s community and business impact with the right audiences, using traditional and non-traditional channels in creative ways.

  • Engage target audiences using a wide range of partner and owned channels, including social media, events, videos, and internal and external websites.

  • Source and develop compelling stories and create written and digital content that effectively communicates the firm’s impact on communities focused on jobs and skills, small business growth, neighborhood revitalization and consumer financial health.

  • Work with the firm’s marketing team to lead communications framing and coordination for our paid and social media presence for the firm’s CR activities that uses leading technologies to reach new audiences and enhance the firm’s engagement with existing key audiences.

  • Partner with lines of business to amplify CR initiatives and content to clients and prospective clients.

  • Collaborate on internal communications, including strategies for communicating with the firm’s 250,000 employees to raise engagement and awareness of the firm’s CR activities and help colleagues tell our story.

  • Participate in the development of CR initiatives, to help incorporate opportunities for further engagement with both internal and external audiences.

  • Continually measure the impact of communications plans, report performance and recommend/implement improvements.

  • Support ad hoc communications assignments across communications and the Corporate Responsibility department.



An ideal candidate must have an interest in corporate responsibility and familiarity with JPMorgan Chase’s work and impact. They must be a self-starter with a strong track record of achievement, written and video content development and project management, and will readily accept responsibility and proactively identify opportunities to provide assistance. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates that thrive in a collaborative environment and are interested in being challenged.

  • 5-7+ years of experience driving innovative communications strategies for corporations, campaigns or non-profits, with an emphasis on the use of social media

  • Strategic thinker who can work collaboratively with CR colleagues and other LOB colleagues to maximize the value of the firm’s CR efforts

  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships
  • Strong writer
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills combined

  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence

  • Role based in New York, NY or Washington DC
