This job is a member of the Absence and Return Center Delivery Team within the People/HR Division. They will be ​responsible for leading a team of support staff, managers and analysts who process and make leave status evaluations and determinations in accordance with applicable Company policies, state and federal regulations, while also ensuring compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) rules and regulations.

What you'll do
  • ​Develops new, streamlined and automated company-wide processes and procedures including training managers and HR professionals on updated processes
  • Understands and supports the strategy and business priorities of the organization and ensure alignment of leave management strategies
  • Uses data and metrics to make critical decisions
  • Owns strategy and implementation processes of all company and federal leaves to ensure compliance with all protected and non-protected leave requirements
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the leave programs, practices, and procedures
  • Leads vendor’s process and lead analysis on vendor performance and selection of new vendors
  • Manages, mentors, and develops team members

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of strong FMLA knowledge and experience
  • 2 years of leadership or managing teams
  • 1 years experience in working with unionized workgroups
  • Experience in defining and implementing detailed leave management business processes

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Master’s degree HR or related field
  • PHR or SPHR certification

  • Ability to be highly collaborative working ability with internal cross-functional business partners to resolve problems and streamline shared processes
  • Ability to be effective in supporting multiple business leaders/ partners working across different business units
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail and common sense
  • Ability to be operationally and metrics focused with the ability to deliver tactically and use analytics to solve problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and respond with appropriate level of urgency, stay on track and on-time, meet deliverables
