Cybersecurity Technology Controls (CTC) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase’s Controls, Access Management and IT Risk agendas, with a focus on stability, delivery, efficiencies and people. The goal of TC is to drive standardization, consistency and simplicity in a JPMorgan Chase architecture that fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across the entire enterprise. The disciplines within this organization are Oversight & Controls Technology, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management. 

 

The Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) organization within CTC provides access control governance and Identity Services for all lines of business (LOBs) globally, providing the right access to the right people at the right time for all technology platforms and applications supported by TC, and provides a comprehensive set of applications, tools, and staff to globally implement, monitor and manage technology risk solutions.

 

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer - Quality Assurance to join our IGA Next Gen Engineering team.  This person will interface between Chase Business owners, Technology teams and third parties to assist and support the selection, design and implementation of access controls across multiple technologies. They will be organized enough to support multiple clients at one time efficiently and effectively.  The resource will also have excellent communication skills to allow them to explain complex technical issues to both business and technology experts.  

   

Responsibilities: 

 

You will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance the access controls that protect our business.  You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, and testing that goes into creating high quality software.  You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed.  Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key.

 

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented hands-on leader who can handle many different roles such as: 

  • Develop, test and debug automated tasks including apps, systems and infrastructure
  • Automate manual operational work by improving products or software
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents and facilitate blameless post evaluations
    Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
  • Perform analytics on past data, such as incidents and usage patterns for predicting issues and take proactive steps to implement improvements
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Lead and participate in performance tests, and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization and capacity demands
  • Split time between operational work and engineering work
  • Contribute to around the clock support coverage as needed 

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • 2-3 Years of Hands on Experience in Automated Testing Frameworks
  • 2-3 Years of experience in Application Programming Interface (API) testing and tools
  • Strong experience in Test/Defects Management and tools; JIRA preferable
  • Experience with data retrieval and validation using SQL
  • Experience as an Agile team member
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills to work with different teams
  • Flexibility to work on multiple efforts and support end to end integration testing efforts across multiple applications
