Job Description


Global Compliance & Regulatory Management plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm’s compliance mission. The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally. Compliance teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm’s compliance control environment.


Consumer & Community Banking Compliance is responsible for leading and implementing the compliance program across the consumer businesses, including Home Lending, Consumer and Business Banking, Consumer Wealth Management, Card Services, and Auto Finance. The department works with the consumer businesses to ensure practices and policies are appropriately designed and to achieve compliance with both the spirit and intent of applicable laws and regulations, as well as ensuring execution of an effective compliance program.

To accomplish this, the Office of Fair Lending (OFL) oversees the firm’s compliance with fair lending laws.


Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be a key member of OFL.  The individual’s primary responsibility will be to:

  • Manage the multi-year integrated plan for OFL’s Analytics, Monitoring and Surveillance processes

  • Maintain changes to the dynamic plan, provide regular reporting of key milestones, activities and results to management, identify risks to the plan and required actions

  • Develop and execute a program to periodically review the design and performance of BAU activities and controls and work with stakeholders to enhance as appropriate.

Additional tasks could include:

  • Support multiple projects within OFL related to CORE, internal audits and examinations, issue management, process flows and change management; review materials and draft responses and prepare reports and presentations to Senior Management, Audit and Regulators

  • Assist in the review of the Fair Lending Risk Assessment

  • Assist in the development of Compliance plans and strategy for future enhancements to the program

  • Manage ad hoc projects and requests


  • 7 plus years of experience in Banking or Legal with demonstrated operational experience

  • Expertise in workflow management, including planning, metrics development and reporting

  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to successfully engage a broad range of individuals at all levels of seniority

  • Strong Project Management skills to manage multiple tasks, drive results and adapt to changing priorities by continually assessing and reprioritizing focus

  • Exceptional critical thinking, program management, analytical and communication skills with the ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate

  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral), with the ability to effectively communicate with senior executives and regulators

  • Excellent skills using Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Office tools; knowledge of MS Project preferred
