Operations Specialist II - Home Lending (Project Approval Group) Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

As an Operations Specialist of the Project Approval Group (PAG) within Chase Mortgage Banking, you will be responsible for the collection of project documentation. This includes, but is not limited to Appraisals, Budgets and Financial Statements/1120s, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), By-Laws, Insurance Declarations, Leasehold Agreements, Project Questionnaires and review for completeness and accuracy. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate a sense of urgency, willingness to work cooperatively with others, and be an effective team player whose primary focus is to service customers, since this position is their main point of contact. Responsibilities include prepare and move loans to PAG underwriting in a timely manner so when credit file is ready for final underwriting, the Project approval has been completed. Responsibilities also include completion of loan submissions and updating the conversation log as needed.

Additionally, the Operations Specialist will review the documents to ensure they meet loan conditions, and with the Loan Officer coordinate with all parties to obtain additional documentation. Major Functions:

Work directly with Management Agents/ HOA / Developers to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Order and review and submit Condo/ Coop and Attached PUD documents before submission to underwriting.

Check alternative documentation for accuracy and potential problems.

Manage pipeline



Experience in mortgage loan processing (conventional and government, purchase and refinance, FHA/VA) Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult conversations to a successful outcome and positive customer experience

Solid analytical and problem solving skills preferred

Ability to manage pipeline daily while meeting monthly production and quality goals

Excellent organizational / time management skills (ability to prioritize) preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred

Strong computer skills - Must be familiar with how to navigate a Microsoft Windows environment and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Adhere to turn time commitments while working in a high-volume environment

Must have excellent teamwork orientation and the ability to work independently in a fast moving environment

High school diploma or equivalent required
