As an experienced Infrastructure SRE Manager, you'll be making decisions of a global and strategic nature that impact our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe.  Your expertise in analyzing complex data systems, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk, will be key in leading a high performing team to successfully design and navigate the program roadmap.  By incorporating your knowledge of business drivers, you will affect change and lead development of innovative improvements and world-class practices.  Your team will be responsible for driving results, and implementing multiple, complex programs that span the breadth of the business, and they’ll look to you to provide the technical leadership to move them forward.  And while you will be part of a tight-knit team that shares your passion for technology, you’ll also gain access the best minds in the business—both as part of the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global technology community, and through our partnerships with some of the most important tech firms in the world.

Key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

  • Be the glue that helps the team get things done including utilizing agile best practices, leveraging modern Engineering practices, running meetings and gathering requirements, and coordinating larger planning activities across our teams 
  • Experience with web/Internet related technologies, architecture across IaC, PaaS and IaaS and cloud productivity suites. Understanding of solution architecture within web and mobile environments 
  • Coordinate across team lines to manage, track and deliver outcomes for our teams while managing trade-offs. 
  • Provide visibility by holding the team responsible and accountable for regular reporting to key stakeholders on project and program status 
  • Engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, infrastructure performance analysis and system tuning with our engineers.
  • Help track and improve reliability by analyzing incidents and failure as part of a continual improvement process across our engineering organization 
  • Manage technology programs, define milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery 
  • Be the custodian of instance strategy for the Center of Excellence managed instances and advise on release management processes and change management considerations 
  • Work with development teams to ensure solution designs align with the overall architecture roadmap to execute on areas of innovation and co-development of features 
  • Follow IT developments, analyze the possibilities for implementation and create improvement proposals, in order to improve the quality, functionality and the cost effectiveness of the infrastructure 
  • Experience with implementing Continuous integration and continuous development in containerized and non-containerized environments


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • 10+ years of IT related experience
  • Prior people management and leadership experience
  • Strong ability to coach resources, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
  • Strong technical, problem solving and planning ability
  • Experience working with large distributed systems in critical production service environments.
  • Strong ability to develop and implement agile practice's
  • Experience in event/incident/problem/change management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any engineering field with 10 years of experience or Master degree with computer or any engineering field with 8 years of experience
