As an experienced Infrastructure Support professional, your relentless dedication to innovation will have a positive ripple effect on both innovation and the people who make it. You’ll put your experience to work across the board, leading an incredibly talented team in areas like Change Management, Incident and Problem Management. You’ll be responsible for management communication and client relationship management. You’ll use your critical thinking skills to establish the team’s functional goals and set priorities and objectives that align with our overall strategy. You’ll oversee areas like incident management, change management, impact identification, management communication, Risk and Controls, client relationship management, service improvement, discovery/gathering/documenting of business needs and data and requirements. You’ll coach, manage and mentor people, both in-house and in working collaboration with our talented and dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network. 

The Infrastructure Portfolio Management team partners across our Project, Application, Finance, Technology & Risk teams giving a holistic view and proactive approach to the Infrastructure Portfolio building strong working relationships with clients and businesses to effectively provide end to end infrastructure services.  This is a CTO/Product aligned role responsible for running an efficient and secure infrastructure technology footprint. 

Key responsibilities:

  • End to End Infrastructure Portfolio Management
    • Single point of contact for CTO’s and Application Owners for all their infrastructure needs
    • CTO / Product aligned to streamline communications, engagement and cultivate collaboration
    • Provides end-to-end planning, execution and status of key Investment, Technology Refresh, Firmwide, Application Modernization, and Cyber Risk & Controls projects and programs
    • Manages & reports status of prioritized Book of Work
    • Project Prioritization and re-prioritization taking budget into consideration on initiatives not in current year budget/plan
    • Drive Production Engineering & Automation Initiatives into CTO towers
    • Understand friction points and facilitate roadblock removal
    • Lead Partnership Meetings across Infrastructure Production Management and Line of Business CTO/Application owner teams
    • Faces off with Global Technology Brokerage, Provisioning and Network teams
    • Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects
  • Demand Management
    • Lead portfolio/project pre-planning activities
    • Operates with Product Owners  & Architects to provide a list of priorities requiring planning and execution 
    • Drive Prioritization and labor commitment efforts
    • Roadmap / Business Case Reviews
    • Ownership of Portfolio reporting by CTO with key project risks and blockers
  • Financial Management
    • Partners with Finance to define the annual labor and infrastructure budget
    • Review budgets with CTO’s and Roadmap owners and refine
    • Monitor change impacts to budget while providing monthly reconciliation of actuals against budgeted plan
    • Identify and drive technology efficiency savings opportunities, partnering with application owners, to run an efficient and cost effective technology footprint
  • Production/Problem Management
    • In conjunction with Production Operations, capture trends and statistics on impacts to the application space to determine opportunities for PE-SRE evaluations and enhancements to the environment.
    • Review top impacting incidents and resolution in CTO Partnership meetings including Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s) and any Process Improvement recommendations
    • Review capacity management telemetry and drive proactive remediation actions as required
  • Lifecycle Management and Hygiene
    • Plans and manages the Inventory/LifeCycle Management process
    • Coaching and training on inventory management systems of record

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: 

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in service, functional area or Infrastructure supported and inter dependencies

  • Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change Management

  • Advanced knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met

  • Ability to set and drive the business' strategic direction to deliver technology that meets internal and external needs

  • Knowledge of financial control and budget management

  • Executive level and mature understanding of IT Service and Delivery Management principles with a proven track record of delivering results and introducing practical project management techniques to programs

  • Resolve Team Conflicts

  • Provide leadership for key project initiatives

  • Ability to lead initiatives/change across a large, complex, geographical diverse environment

  • Comfort in fast-paced customer focused organizations with consistent process/organization changes/improvements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Effective interpersonal skills including consensus building and facilitation skills

  • Highly motivated and self-starter

  • Experience within a development environment

  • Exhibit confidence communicating and interacting with senior executive management

  • 7+ years’ experience in a large scale technology organization, preferably Financial Services

  • Proven ability in developing relationships with stakeholders, communicating project/program status, and understanding detailed business requirements across multiple project initiatives

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to negotiate compromise and demonstrate diplomacy in sensitive situations and to interact effectively with peers and management across diverse cultures

  • Experience with agile methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
