Responsibilities

Internship Description:

WWF is seeking an intern with a background in coastal marine science to work with an interdisciplinary team to support an emerging mangrove conservation initiative. The intern will: (i) conduct a global WWF survey to identify ongoing or past mangrove restoration projects, (ii) analyze results to identify status and trends in mangrove restoration activities within WWF projects, (iii) identify key socio-economic and biophysical enabling conditions affecting mangrove restoration success, (iv) produce a short report documenting these findings, and (v) perform other duties as needed to support the WWF Resilient Coastal Ecosystems Team.

Experience in statistical analysis (e.g. R), GIS (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS), or mangrove ecosystems preferred. Current enrollment in graduate program allowing course credit for internships is required. Must be organized and self-motivated.</span></em></strong></p> <p style="margin: 0px;"> </p> <p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Location:</strong></p> <p style="margin: 0px;">Washington, DC</p> <p style="margin: 0px;"> </p> <p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p style="margin: 0px;">Unpaid.
