This is a critical time in the banking industry, as it is undergoing rapid change caused by the digital revolution and the rapidly evolving demands of consumers. As the digital revolution impacts the firm, Image Services is transforming our business to stay ahead of the change and to exceed customer expectations. To accomplish this objective, we have established the Document Archive product team that is responsible for the strategic direction, governance and execution of the strategy behind ensuring the firm has a suite of superior document management solutions to meet the needs of all lines of business.


 Role Description:


This role is a Product Owner supporting the Image Archive product channel strategy for the JPMC Document Management Center of Excellence. This role is part of growing product team focused on balancing business, technology, and design priorities to deliver brand-defining document archiving product and service experiences. The position:

  • Requires an experienced leader who engages with teams (comprised of software engineering, infrastructure development, architecture, etc. resources) to advance the product's vision and strategy to satisfy customer needs.

  • Leverages data analytics and deep customer journey knowledge in order to win market share an increase adoption by delivering new and enhanced products.

  • Executes against leadership direction by setting priorities and providing a strategic and tactical vision for the team.

  • Is responsible for product delivery.

  • Is a trusted partner to the business; driving solutions through influence.

  


The Product Owners primary responsibilities:

  • Implement in accordance with the product vision and strategy.

  • Assess, understand and measure customer need and value drivers.

  • Prioritizes work for delivery teams relative to product roadmap.

  • Establishes operational quality goals and manages error budget that gauges balance between feature and functionality and reliability activities in backlog.

  • Manages product lifecycle from concept to retirement by overseeing investment posture, resourcing and funding.

  • Conducts make vs. buy analysis to determine approach to fulfill customer and market need.

  • Creates user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

  • Demos the product to key stakeholders and customers.

  • Works to drive awareness and adoption of the product.

 

 

  • Working knowledge of product management techniques (e.g., product strategy development, customer engagement)
  • Knowledge of process modelling techniques (e.g., value stream mapping)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of financial management, such as investment processes, business case development, cost and recovery models.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to senior management and customers.
  • Experience in managing agile, cross-functional teams, often through influence (i.e., not direct oversight)
  • Strong understanding of business value drivers with some understanding of broader business context.
  • Adopts a client centric environment for work with teams and contributors.
  • Experience in product management focused on technology products is an advantage.
  • Proven experience of building strong, cohesive partnerships with the business, operations, technology and other key stakeholders.
