JPMorgan Chase established the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs (MVA) in 2011 to recognize the tremendous sacrifices our military members and their families have made and to support veterans, service members and their families both inside and external to JPMorgan Chase.

The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs (MVA) develops and implements a comprehensive strategy to provide programs, products and services to meet the unique needs of the military and veteran community in the areas of employment, acclimation and development, and small business. 
 
This role is responsible for telling MVA’s story of impact through the use of a varied range of data sets, including HR and customer data as well externally available metrics.
 
The Analyst will be responsible for building custom reports and dashboards to create a narrative on trends for Business Leaders; helping them to understand the effectiveness of current strategies, identify trends and overall effectiveness of the function.   
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create high quality analytics, business intelligence, reporting, and management presentations; conduct and distill sophisticated analysis into simple concepts and terms to position executives to understand and take action
  • Produce regular reporting on effectiveness, efficiency and status metrics
  • Provide and substantiate information to be used for external communications, benchmarking surveys, RFPs, and other ad-hoc communications materials as needed
  • Identify opportunities for reporting automation
  • Structure, manage and cut data quickly (preferably SQL, Access, Business Objects, and/or Tableau)
  • Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to translate reporting trends into insightful data narratives and deliver via PowerPoint or other presentation tools
  • Works across business partners to obtain required data for reporting
  • Work with automation and reporting Center of Excellence (Workforce Analytics) team to automate and standardize reporting
  • Provide end to end ownership and accountability for assigned tasks; receiving strategic direction on the desired end-state
  • Partner with peers and functional colleagues across Lines of Business to facilitate and support analysis and reporting projects, on tight deadlines and changing requirements
Qualifications:
  • Requires 2-4 years of experience in an analytics, business intelligence, or reporting role in a Human Resources environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular) and a proven ability to use standard reporting applications and analytical techniques
  • Ability to structure, manage and cut data quickly (SQL, Access, Business Objects, and/or Tableau knowledge a plus)
  • Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to translate reporting trends into insightful data narratives and deliver via PowerPoint or other presentation tool
  • Outstanding analytical, creative thinking, and problem solving skills; ability to work with large complex data sets
  • Undergraduate Degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Displays a proactive approach with excellent time management and organization skills
