The HR Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is a newly established centralized global team responsible for all aspects of data strategy, governance, reporting and analytics for workforce data.  We have a vision to help make individuals, teams, and businesses at JPMC among the most engaged and productive in the world. Our mission is to create workforce insights that allow leaders to make evidence-based people decisions that help drive measurable business outcomes.


Position Overview & Responsibilities:


The Associate in Client Engagement is an internal client-facing consultative role and will report to a CDAO Client Engagement Vice President. S/he will provide daily support for the Client Engagement team strategic agenda, client relationship management support and also drive project execution. 


S/he will drive execution of centralized user support efforts including regular information and office hour sessions and other key product implementation needs across the HR CDAO product environment (current portal at internal link: go/wfa) including communications and marketing material development. 


S/he will also partner with a Client Engagement ED and VP to support HR leaders and data & analytics “super users” in the Corporate Sector / Firmwide functions coverage area on the execution of HR data and analytics strategy aligned to function specific needs and priorities. This strategy will encompass the full range of CDAO topics from application of advanced predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities, to development of key managerial insights that support data based decisions on human capital strategies, to underlying data management issues (i.e. hierarchy structures, standard metric definitions, etc.) that enable the effective use of reporting and analytics.


S/he will also partner with the internal CDAO teams (Data Science, Product Design & Implementation, Reporting, Data Management, Data Engineering) to scope, develop detailed requirements, build and deliver on business intelligence products (i.e. dashboards) and analytics projects. 


Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in workforce data and analytics subject matters as well as a track record of successful project execution and communication of technical subject-matter. 


 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop consultative relationships with and act as day to day CDAO point of contact for aligned HR executives and their direct reports; help direct inquiries and answer questions

  • Drive ongoing firmwide HR user support efforts for the HR CDAO self service toolset including Office Hours and Information Sessions

  • Partner with CDAO teams to drive and support execution of data and analytics projects; activities may include:

    • Business intelligence product requirement development and design; project management / ownership of product build and ongoing enhancements

    • Data analysis, interpretation and visualization (complexity based on individual skill set)

    • Executive presentation and other scaled communications development

  • Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to translate reporting trends into insightful data narratives and conduct exploratory analysis

  • Manage the LOB or function aligned “super user” engagement forum, known as a Community of Practice

  • Gather client feedback on CDAO tools and services and share with CDAO team on an ongoing basis


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in human resources, relationship management or project execution with demonstrated experience in reporting or other data & analytics topics

  • Project Management – track record of driving execution through partnerships

  • Communications skills – you tell a compelling story with data in just a few key slides

  • Proficiency with Excel and Power Point, business objects proficiency is a plus

  • Proficiency in statistics and descriptive analytics (distributions, correlations, etc.) and technical competency in Tableau, SQL and Python are a plus
