Description:
Processors will serve as a single point of contact for all home equity customers and be responsible for conveying underwriting decisions, obtaining loan file conditions and coordinating loan closing options with customers.
- Conveying loan file decisions including: pre-approvals, counter offers, recommendations for alternative loan solutions, file declines and dispute results
- Ability to service and bring to completion a pipeline of 50 to 75+ customer applications with the capacity to execute daily closings that meet department expectations
Responsibilities:
- Obtain necessary loan conditions, verification of income, payoffs, home owners insurance, mortgage balance statements, trust agreements, verification of employment, etc
- Order and complete detailed review of the title search and flood certificate
- Held to a high standard of file documentation to support their loan condition review work and customer interactions
- Responsible for compliance with Fair Lending practices of JPMorgan Chase
- Adherence to daily quality/audit review standards thru pre-doc draw (PDD) process
- Work through and resolve vendor work issues directly with customer and vendors
- Accountable for meeting department targets including closing ratio, cycle time, customer satisfaction, etc
- Handle outbound and inbound customer, vendor and banking center calls
- Upon final approval, coordinate loan closing options with customer, banking center and document preparation
- Cross sell other bank products, including but not limited to DDA & automatic payment debit
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience as a mortgage or home equity loan processor
- Experience in mortgage/processing/financial industry preferred
- College degree preferred
- Proficient at pipeline management with emphasis on organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Thorough knowledge of Home Equity policies and procedures preferred
- Ability to maintain high quality output while maintaining a pipeline of files at various levels of completion
- Ability to work well with all business partners within underwriting, call center, vendor management and banking centers
- Spanish preferred, but not required
