Position Summary


Origination of Consumer Direct Loans – Support consumer direct mortgage bankers by working with consumers who are shopping for a mortgage and driving qualified consumers to mortgage bankers, and by reaching out to customers who have inquired online and/or who have been pre-screened for certain mortgage products.  Also, work with current applicants to resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments that directly impact the ability to do business with Mortgage Banking.  As needed, facilitate application process by interfacing with customer to discuss products and pricing, complete applications, and request documentation from borrowers.

Lead Management and the Lead Generation team are key elements of our goal to become a higher-quality, less volatile mortgage business.  The Lead Generation team helps drive a consistent flow of quality leads to mortgage bankers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities



Lead Generation Specialists support the origination process by fulfilling the following functions.  Depending on consumer direct capacity, volume, and pipeline, the specialist will be asked to shift among these activities.


Business Development

·         Manage Contract Central alerts

·         Manage follow-up with mortgage bankers’ prospects

·         Review customer Profile forms to identify prospects

·         Manage pre-qualifications leads



·         Answer incoming calls from consumers who are inquiring about mortgage loans and/or home equity lines, and determine customer eligibility

·         Transfer qualified prospects to mortgage bankers



·         Participate in New Hire training

·         Participate in specialized (self-employment) and compliance training required for successful job execution

  • Stong PC skills required  College degree or 4 years equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate is preferred

Unique Requirements



This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by JPMC that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. Your continued employment in this position would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.

In addition, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment with JPMorgan Chase, you will be required to either register on NMLS, or to update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorgan Chase. Your continued employment in this position with JPMorgan Chase is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
