Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Limited relocation housing and/or miscellaneous allowance may be available for eligible.

This intern position provides a phenomenal opportunity to work in Amgen Research and Development organization and partner with specialists in Quality, Compliance, Audit, and Learning & Performance teams to find opportunities to automate manually intensive activities. The intern will work with cross functional partners at various levels in compliance, information systems, and business functions to design and deploy solutions RPA and chatbots to optimize processes. The internship will include working on a project to take a few use cases from concept to reality. This is an ideal opportunity if you are hardworking and enthusiastic on developing a career in the fields of Robotic and Cognitive Automation Solutions.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting the strategy, design, and delivery of robotic and cognitive automation solutions such as RPA and chatbots
  • Partnering to identify automation opportunities and develop associated business cases to optimize existing processes.
  • Conducting current state assessments, define RPA value proposition, support reengineering of processes to optimize automation potential and define the target state solution approach
  • Developing business requirements for the implementation of future state automation capabilities


Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a Master's program for a Masters internship OR a PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university

Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

Degree concentration(s) in Computer Science or Information Systems

Prior experience working with technical teams to identify and triage performance and operation issues that arise with automation implementations

Proficiency with building solutions using leading automation software platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath)

Hands-on experience with Amazon Lex and Amazon Lambda
