Amgen's co-op program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This co-op provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Amgen discovers, develops and delivers innovative human therapeutics. A biotechnology pioneer since 1980, Amgen was one of the first companies to realize the new science's promise by bringing safe, effective medicines from lab, to manufacturing plant, to patient. Amgen therapeutics have changed the practice of medicine, helping millions of people around the world in the fight against cancer, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and other serious illnesses. With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, Amgen remains committed to advancing science to dramatically improve people's lives.

Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.

This role sits within the Operations Data Strategy (ODS) team. This is a newly launched Operations-wide initiative. Management of our highly complex biopharmaceutical business involves capture, storage, access, manipulation and reporting of massive amounts of data (product, process, financial, etc.) by hundreds of people via dozens of systems across Operations. Lack of consistency, structure, processes, governance and tools for how we manage data leads to slow, inefficient and sometimes ineffective decision making. This capability will improve the way we manage and use data to drive analysis and decision making within Operations thereby improving our Reliability, Efficiency and Agility and ultimately Differentiating Amgen from our peers within the industry.

Manufacturing Analysis w ithin Operations Data Strategy, one of the projects that we are executing in 2020 is related to end to end manufacturing analysis. We are planning to leverage predictive analytics to estimate scrap risks for new launches & existing products, yield optimization opportunities, improving human factors, equipment repair and maintenance and production scheduling. In addition, we are looking to develop optimization tools/logic to optimize production schedule and production yield to minimize scrap risks while maintaining promised customer service levels.

  • Detailed analysis on opportunity & value identification
