JPMorgan Chase seeks to do business with suppliers who provide the best price, quality and capability to meet our business needs.  Global Supplier Services (GSS) brings together Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Procurement Operations, and Accounts Payable into one team.  This group of nearly 800 employees (in 11 countries) manages the source to pay processes for JPMorgan Chase and provides a governance model which includes strong risk management practices, enhanced performance monitoring, greater scale and strong client engagement.


Payment Operations team is responsible globally for payment of vendor invoices, reimbursement of business travel & entertainment expenses, processing & reporting of corporate fixed assets and all associated taxes. Payment Ops comprises of Global Invoice & Payments team, Fixed Assets & Accounting operations, Travel & Entertainment, Indirect tax operations managed out of onshore and offshore hubs.  

 

Payment Operations team processes annually 7M invoices and makes payments to the tune of $28B. In addition to invoice payments, this team also oversees ~870k Travel& Entertainment expense reports and provides support to 75k corporate card holders.

 

Job Description:

 

The position available is for a full-time Business Manager who will play a key role in managing Project Communications, Change Governance (Process & System), Senior Management KPI reporting and providing project updates to Global Supplier Services (GSS) PMO team. Due to the global nature of the team, the individual should expect to be involved in multiple projects across many time zones and have an understanding of number of the different systems used globally by Payment Operations.  Some of the current/upcoming initiatives include Oracle to SAP sub-ledger migration, Ariba roll out globally, Invoice Centralization program etc.

 

The Payment Ops Business manager will need to liaise closely with the project managers & product owners based in Onshore (US & UK) and Offshore (India & Poland) locations for timely release of project communications, collating project updates and providing them to GSS/TPOC PMO team. This role will also have to ensure that all process & system changes adhere to Change Governance model.

 

The business manager will be required to participate in the following activities:

  • Manage end to end Change Governance process (ensure process/system changes are logged into share point, review change items with product owners, implement change post sign off)
  • Lead Weekly/Bi-Weekly Change Governance calls with product owners
  • Proof read project communications to ensure they are in compliance with JPMC & GSS Communication guidelines
  • Obtain sign off on communications from key stakeholders and GSS Communications lead prior to release
  • Update GSS & TPOC PMO share point site based on updates provided by individual project managers
  • Consolidate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from Offshore reporting team for Senior management and Business Controls Forum reporting
  • Responsible for maintaining & updating Payment Ops home pages on JPMC Intranet
  • Administrator role for Payment Ops Share point sites



Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strong project management and organization skills Strong writing skills – interest in growing and developing in this area. Experience drafting and editing internal communications is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint / Content Management Systems preferred
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills for self
  • Ability to multitask and deliver multiple deliverables at once
  • Microsoft skills at intermediate or advanced level, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Results oriented with a focus on efficiency

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in managing a PMO function
  • Knowledge of Procure to Pay processes
  • Experience in working remotely without direct supervision
  • Basic knowledge of Ariba & SAP systems
