Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, security operations on a global basis to include ATM, branch and corporate building security and customer safety, executive protection, pre-employment screening, fraud investigations and technical security.  This mission is executed through the implementation of technology, best-in-class talent, and client collaboration.
 
The GS Technical Security team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who support and enable the physical security of our retail and corporate environments through access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance technologies. They are responsible for the overall design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of integrated security systems that protect the firm across the logical & physical threat spectrum.  Technical security professionals work closely with key stakeholders across Global Security, Global Real Estate, Chase, and multiple groups across our Global Technology organization.
 
This Project Manager position will play a critical role within the group. The selected candidate will report to the local Technical Security Corporate Project Manager and will implement critical and high-visibility security upgrades and new projects at corporate sites in the South/Southwest USA and other areas as assigned. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of project management, schedule management, and vendor management, as well as prior experience implementing surveillance, alarm, and access control systems for a mid-to-large size enterprise. The candidate should be comfortable in a high-technology, highly collaborative environment, and should have prior experience in project management software as well as communications and information management software. The position requires adherence to strict project timelines, and robust organization, communication and collaboration skills. Under direction from the Senior PM, the selectee must be flexible enough to shift efforts in accordance with changing priorities and be comfortable dealing with a dynamic, priority-driven workload. Finally, the successful candidate will have a strong sense of teamwork and an adaptive, energetic, and positive approach their role.
 
SCOPE:
  • Engage with and manage external vendors to implement projects enhancing corporate security, ensuring best security solutions at best value to the organization, with a focus on the South/Southwest USA region and other areas as assigned.
  • Participate in security assessments, live and virtual project meetings, and closeout walkthroughs in the South/Southwest USA region and other areas as assigned.
  • Input and update data in Project Management databases and SharePoint sites.
  • Collaborate with other GS and affiliated JPM Chase personnel (e.g. Physical Security, Corporate Technology) to achieve corporate security objectives.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years’ experience as a project manager, preferably in a security-related position. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including work on large projects as well as leading smaller end-to-end projects is strongly preferred.
  • Accredited undergraduate or higher degree in Security, Project Management, or Business-related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of security products for corporate facilities (i.e. alarm, video and access control, and entry control).
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, CAPM) and/or Security certification (CPP, PSP, ASP) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, data management and problem-solving skills. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage changes in plan.
