Office of Policies and Standards, Risk Management Policies and Standard, and Regulatory Change Management Group

The Governance, Reporting, and Business Management team provides key program governance, reporting, and technology product management functionality across Office of Policies and Standards, 2nd Line of Defense Governance Documents, and Regulatory Change Management groups.  This includes oversight of key initiatives across the teams as well as identification and implementation of strategic opportunities related to the group’s overall activities.  

  • The Office of Policies and Standards (OPS) in Risk Management & Compliance is critical in advancing the firm’s policy and standards agenda. The OPS is responsible for establishing and overseeing firmwide policy and standards governance and developing firmwide technology to support the policy and standards management process, including maintaining a single repository for policies (the Firmwide Policy Portal).  
  • The Risk Management and Compliance Governance Documents Group manages the policy and standards lifecycle for Risk Management and Compliance policies and standards to promote adherence to the firm’s governance framework and templates. It provides active and direct leadership in development, drafting, review, socialization and approval of Compliance policies and standards.
  • The Risk Management and Compliance Regulatory Change Management Group establishes governance and oversight to enable timely monitoring, intake, and assessment of regulatory changes as it relates to Risk Management and Compliance. Regulatory Management also participates in the Firmwide Office of Legal Obligations Program and Legal and Regulatory Change Management process for Risk Management and Compliance.
Position Description

The governance and business management manager will support overall project and business management activities for the team which includes end to end oversight of key initiatives and applying project management disciplines to ensure the established objectives and goals are achieved on time.  Additionally, the position will involve business-as-usual activities including maintenance of business resiliency plan, records management, and technology asset management, other for the Regulatory Strategy group. The position will allow you to get exposure to various subject matters including policies and standards management and regulatory change management practices at the firm and apply creative thinking skills.

  • Lead moderate to complex projects by setting strategic directions, working with stakeholders to ensure progress is on track.
  • Ensure projects are properly documented and regular status updates are provided to senior management.
  • Apply critical problem solving skills and analytical mindsets to ensure project delivery
  • Identify opportunities for strategic and technological improvements across the groups and be able to manage the initiatives established from the opportunities
  • Demonstrate high quality project management skill, bringing ability to quickly implement governance and structure in place to manage work in a dynamic environment.
  • Apply project management skills to provide oversight to key initiatives identified by each team within the group to ensure objectives are met
  • Drive execution of key initiatives managed directly by the governance and business management team (includes initiatives involving cross team collaboration) towards completion
  • Management of key BAU activities for the group including resiliency planning as well as maintenance of groups’ strategic priorities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of project management experience; PMP preferred
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Prior experience and understanding of policies or regulatory change management process is a plus
  • Prior experience with SharePoint, Microsoft office suite is a plus
  • Strong risk and controls mindset
  • Positive attitude and motivation is a must
