If so, let’s chat.  The Director of Talent Acquisition will develop and lead strategic programs for the internal and external recruitment processes at American Airlines. You will be responsible for a data driven Talent Acquisition organization that plans, analyzes and strategizes to forecast for future hiring needs. Establishing and using KPIs, you’ll work closely with key business leaders to drive decision-making. You will also serve as a mentor and example of excellence for your team.


What you'll do
  • Develop recruiting strategy for all positions throughout the company including: front line, management/professional, campus recruiting and interns
  • Analyze trends and metrics to proactively understand talent needs and implement creative and innovative recruiting strategies.
  • Provide direction and consultation to senior leaders on strategic and emerging staffing trends and workforce analytics to deliver top talent across American Airlines’ organization.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with recruiting process outsourcing (RPO), technology and other talent acquisition related vendors.
  • Oversee and manage recruitment budget/forecasting, ensuring accuracy and accountability for overall resource management
  • Leverage recruiting technology and tools required to lead a complex, talent acquisition function.
  • Ensure recruiting processes are compliant with all Legal and OFCCP regulations
  • Lead and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals at various levels Provide strategic direction and leadership, ensuring that the team is engaged and collaborative.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and influence at the most senior levels of the organization
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, as well as proven ability to build and facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Experience conducting data analysis and using data to drive decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while simultaneously managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively and clearly communicate a strategic and tactical vision to all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies and business partners
  • 7 years of experience leading teams, including remote team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a recruiting environment, including both high volume and professional recruiting
  • Experience in college/university recruiting with demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective relationships with numerous universities
  • Experience managing executive recruiting for a variety of business units
  • Knowledge of legal regulations related to hiring, including DOL, OFCCP, and immigration guidelines
  • Experience creating effective sourcing strategies for high volume and hard-to-fill positions
