About The Job
The candidate will be a transactional attorney in the Corporate Finance section of the American Airlines Legal Department. The primary function of the Corporate Finance section is to support the American Airlines Treasury Department, including its Corporate Finance, Banking and Fleet Transactions groups. The Corporate Finance section’s practice areas include (1) aircraft finance, including mortgage and sale/leaseback financings and operating leases, and the issuance of equity, unsecured debt and debt secured by aircraft or other assets, including pass-through certificates and enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs), (2) secured term loan and revolving credit facilities and (3) tax-exempt financing of airport facilities. In addition, the section provides practical, compliant and strategic legal advice in connection with American Airlines’ aircraft purchase agreements, share repurchase and derivatives programs, and surety matters. The section also strategically and in a cost-effective manner, manages and partners with outside counsel in financing and securities laws matters.
