The Role:

The Director of Decision Sciences for Home Lending Marketing and Sales will be responsible for the strategy and optimization of targeted marketing within Home Lending, primarily focused on digital channels, and the automation of marketing campaigns to realize business efficiencies using state of the art decisioning engines. 

Developing strong relationships with business partners, leading marketing impact/results discussions, and proactively identifying information needs within Home Lending will be essential in this position.   

This role will report directly to the Head of Home Lending Decision Sciences, and work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Home Lending, CCB Data and Analytics, CCB Technology and second line functions, including Control and Risk.

  • Experience embedding data science with campaign analytics to drive collaboration
  • Business acumen in marketing analytics, third party data assets and the processes of sales cycle specific to Home Lending

  • Appreciation for controlled execution and applicable regulatory requirements

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop roadmap of advanced analytics and MIS to support achievement of Home Lending Marketing and Sales objectives within digital channels
  • Define and deliver analytical insights based on large volumes of data with strong storytelling to solve business problems with tangible outcomes
  • Define content and build analytics to enable direct delivery mechanisms, automation and value added tools and services for clients
  • Manage programs of work to help automate processes within the business and lead transformation initiatives

Experience Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in the field of analytically driven marketing
  • Proven experience leading teams with a focus on analytics and MIS
  • Experience within a digital footprint to shape the future business needs
  • In-depth understanding of a sales pipeline and the role of Marketing and Sales
  • Proven experience with emerging technologies related to insights (e.g., Big Data, next generation analytics and Business Intelligence tools)
  • In-depth understanding of large organization culture and how to navigate the various matrixed environments to achieve objectives
  • Synthesizing data and analyses to streamlined, simplistic messages
  • Demonstrated experience in developing business plans, identifying opportunities, structuring goals to achieve objectives, structured problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience with customer-centric design, marketing processes or consumer behavior modeling
  • Experience with dynamic and interactive visualization/reporting applications such as Tableau
  • Proficient in standard data mining and analytical methods
  • Excellent understanding of experimental design, A/B and multivariate testing
  • Experience managing a team of analysts who use data analysis languages such as Python, SAS, Java, R, JavaScript, C++ or Scala
  • Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala or Spark
  • Experience with relational databases
