Key contributor to the analyses and strategic insights for clinical and commercial pipeline product developments. Collaboratively build sound commercial assessments of potential new assets for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Informs the commercialization plan for potential new assets, particularly as it relates to resource needs and overall market opportunity (i.e. sales force sizing requirements, identification of target patient populations, HCPs, access strategy).
  • Conducts market analyses to inform recommendations for key segment value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles, & revenue potential.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and translates relevant clinical and landscape data, as well as competitive intelligence, to inform the development of asset strategies and BD opportunities.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal partners (Business Development, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Access & Reimbursement), collaborating and effectively to ensure team success.
  • Work with Access & Reimbursement, Medical and HEOR to develop differentiation to secure appropriate market access
  • Establishes external relationships positioning Acadia in new therapeutic areas.
  • Leverages analytic expertise to inform the commercial strategy
  • Provides strategic direction on market research objectives and designs as well as other innovative approaches to inform brand launch strategies.
  • Interprets research findings and draws appropriate insights based on the results.
  • Working closely with Marketing Leadership, and Finance to ensure appropriate resources and organizational alignment are available to capitalize on short-term and long-term business opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with the in-line HCP and market research teams to identify go-to-market needs and inform strategy for future indications and new products providing a strategic launch package to launch teams.
  • Supports the Lifecycle Management (LCM) function within the marketing team as a strategic partner during times of heavy LCM specific project load.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelors degree in marketing, health care, business administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Requires at least 3 years experience working in an analytics role and working with key internal stakeholders to develop new indications and preparing market for launch CNS and rare disease experience a plus.

Must possess:

  • A solid background in marketing and marketing analytics with a working knowledge of secondary data, mining secondary data sets and applying learnings to strategy development.
  • Experience in forecasting and the appropriate forecasting model to leverage across different launch scenarios and markets.
  • Experience with building forecasting assumptions with marketing.
  • Recent blockbuster brand experience, rare disease launch experience or major launch/new indication launch experience associated with P&L success.
  • Ability to creatively problem solve.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive organizational action.
  • Strong interpersonal, partnering and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment with learning agility and style flexibility.
  • Ability to work with leadership and other cross functional peers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members, effectively aligning resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of time.
