The Director of Business Excellence will report directly to the Vice President Client Services Asia Pacific and will have a dotted line into Service Delivery ESI. The role has direct leadership responsibility and accountability for supporting the creation and execution of the ANZ and greater Asia Pacific Business excellence program aligned to the ESi vision and strategy.



The role is responsible for managing & governing transformational change with the ANZ business unit and for selected APAC regional assignments to deliver a simplified, modern, effective client and associate experience. This role will partner with service, implementation and product to drive internal efficiency, consistency & quality in people, process & technology and the deployment of tools and product roadmaps. It will also develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement and speed to market using Agile, Lean Management tools & methodologies.

Responsible for Service Strategy deployment, Business Process Improvement (BPI), Project Management Office (PMO) and Service Delivery Systems (SDS).



  • Lead efforts to bring innovative, friction-free, value-add solutions to our clients across Asia Pacific
  • Lead efforts to bring automated, scalable products and tools to our ADP associates responsible for service delivery across Asia Pacific
  • Development and execution of ANZ business transformation strategy with close collaboration of the ANZ senior leadership team (SLT)
  • Development and execution of identified APAC transformational strategies with close collaboration of the APAC senior leadership team (SLT)
  • Developing and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and automation within the ANZ business and across all Asia Pacific utilising proven process improvement methodologies such as Lean Management and Agile
  • Delivering productivity gains through BPI initiatives that also drive better associate & client experience
  • Centralised management, reporting & governance of APAC and ANZ transformation initiatives
  • Ensuring ADP ANZ's compliance to ISO9001 Quality Standard and ISAE3402 external audit
  • Ongoing assessment of our people, process and technology to drive continuous improvement
  • Effective deployment of ESi Service Delivery system tools including driving system performance optimization and participation in Service Delivery system tools CAB.
  • Implement on-going Management Information reporting and metrics to enable performance management across all areas of Business Excellence
  • Ensuring the ANZ and APAC SLTs are kept informed of progress and initiatives have delivered the expected benefits


  • This position requires mature leadership skills as well as strong change management skills
  • Proven track record in execution of initiatives with an excellent decision making skill set
  • Must be able to influence multi-directional and non-linear relationships
  • Must be able to clearly articulate strategy and obtain buy-in from various stakeholders and resources
  • Willing to lead unproven initiatives, challenging new projects, untested, crossing functional and/or unit boundaries, leading change
  • Must be "marketplace informed," anticipate adverse events, react to unforeseen challenges
  • Must be able to institutionalise business operating procedures and standards
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong inter-personal communication skills
  • Practitioner level knowledge of BPI and project management tools and practices
  • Excellent time management, presentation and organisational skills
  • Ability to challenge established processes or procedures and generate innovative ideas for creatively enhancing service and solutions
  • Passion for quality and excellence with a relentless drive towards flawless execution


  • Educated to degree level or above
  • 10+ years' experience in Operations, Service or Implementation with large multi-national companies
  • Extensive experience in Transformation, Business Process Improvement and Change Management with a proven track record in delivering results
  • Experience working across matrix organisations and international environments
  • Strong organisational & project management experience
  • Lean 6 Sigma, Business Process Improvement experience & qualifications
  • Experience of business to business HR / Payroll systems desirable


  • Travel to all ADP ANZ locations and international as required
