UI/UX designers, business developers, visual designers, ux research, design strategy, project managers, copywriters, content strategists and other creative professionals comprise the teams within the Digital Customer Experience Organization (DCE). These professionals are responsible for delivering unique and innovative designs and experiences across organizations, applications, products and offerings. Diverse backgrounds range across design agencies, mobile handset manufacturers, financial institutions, mobile carriers, startups and content providers.

  


  • Work in iterative processes, including agile and lean methodologies

  • Champion the consistency of design patterns and components across multiple lines of businesses and project initiatives – providing clear guidance on consistent implementation

  • Review design patterns and components, analyze use cases, identify areas of opportunity for remediation and design elegant solutions as required

  • Enhance decision-making by providing and communicating a realistic future-state view of our design landscape by studying our site concept, strategy, target audiences and user behaviors

  • Help develop, maintain and evangelize guiding principles, policies, best practices and standards for design across the Web Channel

  • Validate design proposals by evaluating traffic patterns; studying user feedback

  • Collaborate on usability test plans; prepare paper and interactive prototypes and mockups — including page layout and navigational elements — to test with users

  • Develop design standards in the form of journeys, storyboards, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes to ensure our digital experience flows seamlessly from one step to the next

  • Help to create and maintain our design system and pattern library by defining and designing reusable, accessible, user-tested components, and preparing interaction specifications and templates so the design process gets easier as time goes on



What we’re looking for:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in visual design, design systems and experience design required

  • Fluency in standard design tools such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite, with a thorough knowledge of design thinking principles

  • Strong knowledge of visual language, brand guidelines and product design   

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong visual design skills (including layout, grid systems, typography, iconography and color) for digital experiences

  • Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs

  • Effective communication of design solutions across roles & levels; Ability to influence others, collaborate successfully and create solutions where necessary

  • Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies and their application and relevance to digital experiences

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment

  • Actively listens, hears and understands what is said and not said, and with nuanced comprehension of meaning and intent

  • Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders

  • Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)

  • BFA or BA in related field
