The JPMorgan Chase Consumer Banking Digital Consumer Experience (DCE) team is responsible for creating a simple, capable, cohesive, human + personal digital banking experience for our over 70 million customers. We work across every possible channel; from our rich web application to our mobile applications to ATMs to a range of virtual assistant experiences. Experience design partners closely with its partner Lines of Business (LOBs), tech counterparts, developers, user researchers, design planners + content editors to create and realize visions for digital banking products and experiences. A Senior Content Strategist is responsible for overseeing the content strategy discipline and driving the vision for content strategy within the Strategic Innovation Programs team, starting in the Evaluate phase. They lead content strategy and editorial execution, process and governance throughout all phases.


As the Senior Content Leader in the Strategic Innovation Programs team, they will partner closely with their direct manager and other leaders in the group to define vision and priorities, align to the roadmap and evangelize content strategy, while communicating direction to their team(s). They’ll also individually drive the content strategy for initiatives within their product design group during the Discover and Define phases, as needed, alongside other content strategists.



  • Continually build and nurture strong relationships within Strategic Innovation Programs team and with external partners, for the purpose of gaining a more holistic view of goals and direction, identifying solutions to roadblocks, driving consistency and evangelizing content strategy

  • Support the team as key escalation point for content process issues, partnering with Delivery Manager to resolve

  • Ensure alignment to controls process for content governance and overall content process; partner with strategists in other product design groups to establish and oversee governance process and alignment, including key checkpoints and documentation

  • Oversee and drive excellence in content strategy and editorial work within Strategic Innovation Programs team:

  • Responsible for quality of output, from content strategy direction in Discover and Define phases to final language in Deliver

  • ·Work with the broader Content Strategy team to determine oversight routines for content strategy output

  • ·Identify the right process and oversight for execution, including conducting reviews and other regular check-ins

  • Work with content strategists and other partners to identify, track to and report on appropriate KPIs and KEIs for assigned initiatives

  • Be a key leader within the content strategy community of practice, sharing work across teams to ensure consistency in experiences, taking part in discipline-wide routines and discussions, providing leadership within the Strategic Innovation Programs team and helping to strengthen and evolve the overall discipline, including strategy, approach and process

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10-15 years of experience

  • Strong, empathetic people manager who advocates on behalf of their teams and guides them and their work; able to manage multiple teams across multiple workstreams

  • Able to think holistically and see the big picture

  • An influencing and diplomatic partner at all levels, advocating for best practices for the content discipline, healthy teams and strong, customer-centered experiences

  • Strong collaborator and leader; comfortable presenting to and working with senior-level partners as well as peers

  • Able to help teams make connections between a problem and the right solutions to solve for the customer need

  • Critical thinking; able to think strategically and ask the right question

  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills, including time management and prioritization; able to oversee schedules and deadlines for multiple teams and provide guidance

  • Strong customer advocate; able to think about customer’s context and needs in a human, empathetic way and help guide teams toward the right approach

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented; skilled at identifying problems and leading toward the right resolution on behalf of the customer, the business and their team(s)

  • Excellent writing skills and mastery of the English language; able to write and review content with a critical eye for adherence to strategy, voice & tone, style standards
