As a Commercial Banker III with Chase Auto, you will be developing and servicing profitable relationships within the Dealer Commercial Services (DCS) segment.

Individuals in this position are expected to possess the experience to function as the lead on complex accounts.  They must be able to establish rapport with clients and their employees through consistent communications.  Individuals in this position will be assigned new business development and growth expectations, as well as maintaining and growing the existing portfolio.  They need to be comfortable in cross-selling associated bank products, as well as portfolio management.  The individual must be a self-starter and have a motivation for their function with minimal supervision.  They should have proven client relationship skills, product and industry knowledge, technical expertise, and strong management skills to keep track of loan closings.

The Commercial Banker III needs to have the ability to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate lending and treasury related products and services, as well as delivering value-added solutions to our clients.  The position will lead the client relationship, and will be the primary point of contact for the client for all matters related to credit, underwriting, operations, and treasury.

 

 

Market Information:     The market area for this opening will be the state of Indiana.  This position will be a work-from-home based role, and frequent travel within the aligned market will be required.  Therefore, the selected candidate should reside within the aligned market area; Indianapolis (in or within close proximity to) is a plus.

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience.  Experience should include the selling and delivery of commercial bank products and services.
  • Commercial credit/underwriting experience strongly referred to include the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial statements of large dealership groups
  • Knowledge of, or direct experience in, the auto industry is strongly preferred to include the knowledge of competitive environment, key industry leaders, financial institutions, and array of financial products and services demanded by the larger, multi-franchised dealership groups.
  • Treasury management product knowledge desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Presentation and negotiation skills
  • New business development skills and experience are essential
  • Ability to develop good relationships with a diverse group including dealership ownership, various dealership personnel, and many internal departments including credit, underwriting, and treasury management personnel.
  • Possess a high level of personal initiative and demonstrated ability to meet/exceed goals
  • Have strong decision-making skills with ability to respond quickly and accurately
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, and able to manage time efficiently
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of common application software
  • Knowledge of the functionality of Salesforce.com a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of transacting commercial real estate loans and all aspects tied to these types of transactions a plus
