Firmwide Risk Management is overseen and managed on an enterprise-wide basis. The Firm’s risk management governance and oversite framework involves understanding drivers of risks, types of risks, and impacts of risks.
Within the broader Risk organization, the Risk Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for developing a best-in-class data management function across various critical business initiatives (CCAR, Basel, etc.). Through partnerships with Firmwide Data Management (FDM), the Chief Data Office, Business, Operations, and Technology stakeholders, the team is responsible for defining and executing on the overall data governance and data management strategy across Wholesale Risk Management.

As a Risk CDO Vice President, the ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives across both the Risk CDO organization and Firmwide Data Management. This individual will play a significant role in storyboarding and transforming ideas and concepts into clear concise presentations for the senior level audiences at the firm. Additionally, he/she will help design, syndicate, and program manage the Data Quality Issue Management transformation agenda. Finally, he/she will have the ability to improve and/or revamp existing and new reports, tools and processes. This role will involve operating within the center of the firm’s Risk Data Management organization, with exposure to many risk areas and line of business risk teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in the financial services industry (with a focus on project management, risk, data management, or corporate strategy)
  • An understanding of Risk Management concepts and frameworks preferred but not required
  • Creative and analytical
  • Strong, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Attention to detail with an understating of what level of detail is appropriate
  • Motivated self-started, results/task driven, well organized
  • Works both independently and collaboratively, able to build partnerships with colleagues of various levels and across functions/teams  
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under tight deadlines

  • Ability to work well under pressure

Technical skills:
  • Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with Business Intelligence tools; experience with tools such as Qlikview, Alteryx helpful

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Sample work must be provided
