Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) is a global function within Corporate Finance responsible for managing critical business processes and key financial applications in conjunction with our partners and consumers in Finance, Capital, all Lines of Business and various technology teams. The team occupies a unique niche that integrates components of business ownership, technology ownership and process and change management. FIRS is established as a center of excellence (CoE) focused on providing fit-for-purpose data for use in internal and external reporting while implementing operating model enhancements to improve consistency, efficiency and control in delivery. The FIRS team offers a unique culture and operates at a fast pace given it is an integral player in defining and delivering target state operating model and technological enhancements. 

 

The Wholesale Client Profitability (WCP) team within FIRS is responsible for providing client profitability information to all lines of business, and finance executives to drive business growth and measure performance through key client metrics and evaluations. FIRS WCP works with senior managers, sales professionals and product managers to ensure key decision makers have the right data to make informed decisions about our clients and their product usage. FIRS WCP manages the monthly production cycle for the WCP application. Primary responsibilities include monthly processing of client data, ensuring data quality, and providing the right reporting framework for our partners in finance, sales, and product management  

 

Roles & Responsibilities


The FIRS Wholesale Client Profitability Business Analyst will coordinate client profitability data and reporting improvements, lead user inquiry and issues management, and support monthly production activities. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess analytical, critical thinking and project management capabilities as well as sound organizational and communication skills.

  • Work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to deliver proactive solutions, prioritize requests, and improve client profitability data and reporting

  • Conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting client to determine root cause and deliver quality documentation capturing proposed solutions

  • Build and maintain key relationships across business stakeholders (e.g., project managers, business users, subject matter experts), and operations and technology partners

  • Project management of key initiatives, including status updates, reviews and other required communications

  • Support WCP production related activities
  • Follow quality control measures including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal reviews

  • Prepare and distribute data driven communications, profitability presentations, and business analyses with accuracy and adherence to JPMC brand style guidelines

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Solutions, Data Science, or similar discipline.

  • 3-5 years experience in financial services, business analytics, project management, or equivalent.

  • Superior written and verbal business communication, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff

  • Ability to work independently in a fast moving environment

  • Effectively prioritize and multi-task
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and identify targeted, crisp messages- Competence to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts across all levels

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access, Cognos, SQL and SharePoint; prior experience with Qlikview, Business Objects and Hyperion Essbase are a plus
