Global Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) was established to define and deliver target end state operating model and technology requirements to strategically source data required for both internal and external reporting, and assist in positioning the firm to better respond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests.  As part of Corporate Finance, the FIRS team is focused on providing environmental readiness (fit-for-use), data quality and enrichment, and enhanced reporting and analysis across critical corporate internal reporting platforms.


The Change Management team within FIRS is tasked with improving consistency, sustainability, and stabilization of project management and change management across FIRS. Responsibilities of the team include execution of process assessments, analysis of functional activities that align with the FIRS remit and the build of an end-to-end project management and change management governance framework. The team partners with senior stakeholders across Finance and Risk to drive the Change Management Governance Book of Work and collaborates with internal clients to endure quality delivery of solutions.

Role Description:

A Program Manager (“PM”) within FIRS Change Management team will be responsible for executing on programs to align strategy and implement governance across FIRS Book of Work initiatives. The PM will partner with their team lead and key stakeholders across multiple locations: 1) execute on agile project management framework; 2) organize and conduct Scrum meetings; 3) support ad-hoc project activities as needed. The PM will manage input and deliverables required from senior stakeholders for the FIRS Book of Work. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the annual Book of Work (BoW) and Roadmap for multiple FIRS’ applications (i.e., projects) rolling up into one or more programs
  • Manage Demand intake and review (i.e., requests for new features in FIRS supported applications), as well as manage changes to Roadmap timelines and priorities
  • Work collaboratively with internal FIRS teams, as well as Finance, Risk, and Technology to execute governance of an agile project management framework, e.g., organizing and defining Sprints and Sprint goals, allocating time and overseeing timetable of meetings and updating participants, capturing agreed action items and modifications in meeting minutes
  • Partner with cross-functional groups and FIRS management to define a governance model ensuring the maintenance of deep dive documentation, process mapping and current state assessments
  • Support the closure of internally and externally driven remediation efforts (e.g., management and regulatory presentations, ad-hoc analyses and data cleanse activities)
  • Provide on time and accurate reporting (e.g., Sprint Planning, Sprint Closing, Velocity, Ad-hoc Estimates of capacity and its adjustments)
  • Analyze the sprint progress and likelihood of achieving the Sprint Goal, provide the on-going updates to all project team members and notify all the stakeholders of any shifting priority up front to allow informed decision-making
  • Support product owner and Technology teams to define their Sprint goals and prioritize their backlog in line with agreed release plan
  • Serve as a ‘coach’ leader and resource for Scrum team for execution of best practices in Agile Project Management and manage key program cross-dependencies leveraging a standard project life cycle (PLC) methodology
  • Analyze current state software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes to identify opportunities to enhance processes
  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university/institution; advanced degree and/or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma/ Lean Certification, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner) a plus
  • 10+ years of progressing experience leading technology build projects and programs, managing stakeholders, engineering process improvements, conducting process mapping or evaluating operating models spanning business lines within the financial services industry
  • Prior experience in a role of Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner a plus
Skill Sets:
  • Very strong organizational and people management skills
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and identify targeted, crisp messages
  • Superior verbal and written business communication skills (especially the development of management presentations)
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with tight timelines while keeping key senior stakeholders and technology and operations partners appropriately updated
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships across global, diverse Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations senior managers and relevant subject matter experts (SME) populations
  • Highly developed influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Atlassian products, including Confluence and Jira, a plus
