Responsibilities and tasks will include but not be limited to financial management and analysis, resource management, product costing, product strategy, product consumption planning and analysis, benchmarking, special projects, investment prioritization and portfolio management, location strategy, business metrics and analysis, budgeting and forecasting. The Associate reports directly to the F&BM leading Global Network Services (GNS) and governance around product costing/pricing, benchmarking and product reporting consolidation.  

 

You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as and prepare reports while always thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement.

 

You will also help develop recommendations affecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. In addition, you will consult to technical product managers on their financial performance and other key metrics measured and tracked by F&BM and will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage annual/continual financial planning activities for product areas, provide business rational and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conduct reviews and analysis on product  financial performance, consumption/demand planning, billing, trends, and exception reports
  • Assist with managing team workflow and responsibilities on monthly activities, special projects and annual processes
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT partners to provide ongoing governance, financial best practices and guidance
  • Enabling product strategy development and business decisions with product owners for their technology products and services
  • Report on and monitor key metrics, drive data quality initiatives across the product area and help define future needs of the product area
  • Manage total cost of ownership product calculation, product margin, and effective rates through use of industry standard tool sets
  • Deliver annual product and pricing changes end-to-end including introduction/retirement of products and analyzing the impact to customers (LOBs)
  • Engage with product owners on the cost modeling / creation of new products and providing annual pricing guidance for all products in the product area
  • Assist in driving the engagement of the product area with the GTI Investment Portfolio Prioritization and management and organize financial review and investment approval process for product group(s)
  • Partner with product leads to help drive the resource and location strategy for the product area
  • Drive productivity in F&BM and assist in driving efficiencies within the technology product area
  • Drive the monthly Business Review process for the Product Area
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams across Corporate Finance, IT and LOBs to ensure thorough product analysis and reviews, changes and implementation throughout product lifecycles   
 
 

- 4+ years of experience

- Bachelor's degree required

- Must have financial / accounting experience

- Essbase, Smart View, and SAP experience is preferred

- Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel / spreadsheet skills

- Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets

- Strong data analytical skills

- Excellent Power point / Pitch Pro skills

- Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management

- Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments with often little lead time or information

- Logical, analytical, clear thinker

- Ability to work autonomously and solve problems

- Ability to deal with several priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible approach

- Drives process improvement and efficiencies of processes across the department

- Results oriented and deadline focused

- Strong communicator

- Good relationship builder inside and outside own team

- Assist in driving cross functional strategies across the organization

- Ability to effectively influence and collaborate outside organization to achieve goals

- Cost modeling or activity based costing experience a plus
