Overview

Responsible for formulating Consumer Lending reports, processing and maintaining loan applications, and ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State and NCUA rules, regulations and laws. This includes requesting all supporting documentation, and working with members and staff to ensure the timely processing and maintenance of consumer loan applications. This includes communication with the Consumer Lending staff and Member Service Representatives while upholding UNFCU’s commitment to exceptional member service and representing UNFCU in a positive and professional manner.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily lending reports for AVP - Consumer Lending, VP - Retail Lending & Servicing, Chief Lending Officer, SVP – Retail Services and Consumer Lending staff to monitor loan production.
  • Prepare daily report for AVP – Consumer Lending and Consumer Loan Supervisor for turnaround time by product to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Prepare daily report for posting queue older than 2 days for AVP – Consumer Lending and Senior Loan Processor.
  • Prepare weekly reports for marketing campaigns to monitor increase in production as a result of the campaign.
  • Prepare weekly report for post booking audits for Consumer Loan Processing Supervisor.
  • Prepare weekly report for loan declinations and distribute according to the schedule for Loan Review Committee.
  • Prepare bi-monthly production and turnaround time for all loan officers for AVP – Consumer Lending and Consumer Loan Supervisor.
  • Review Visa Credit Cards reports to ensure credit cards and/or limits are transferred accordingly to Card Management system.
  • Build records in Card Management system for expedited card requests.
  • Monitor the Processor queue in Loan Pipeline Manager to ensure that member communications are responded to in a timely manner. Maintain continuous follow-up activity with Member Service Representatives and/or members by telephone and e-mail on loan applications; follow-up on incomplete DocuSign contracts to ensure they are processed and finalized in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Enter indirect loan application in Loan Origination System for underwriter review and processing.
  • Communicate with indirect loan providers to ensure loans are processed timely and efficiently.
  • Perform reconciliation of indirect loan providers’ accounts.
  • Perform enrollment of approved borrowers in KI USA.
  • Enter membership application for indirect loan application approved borrowers for Retail review.
  • Create fixture filings (UCC-1) and follow up with vendor to ensure UNFCU’s security interest is satisfied within 30 days of loan funding.
  • Create loan documents for both electronic delivery and in person signing.
  • Post/Fund loans and disburse funds by verifying figures and signatures, and appropriately document in all related information systems, including processing of deferred fees and costs.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate disbursement of consumer loan proceeds and issuance of credit cards.
  • Perform loan maintenance in core banking system based on loan types following product specific procedures, including
  • Ensure loan documents are complete and accurate according to policies, requirements and regulations, including but not limited to checking for proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
  • File all related documentation in appropriate information systems, and make decisions following all legal and credit union guidelines.
  • Prepare and upload all loan documentation in Document Retention System.
  • Take accountability to manage one’s own workload to ensure superior member experience and meet service level agreements.
  • Communicate with Global Payments Operations team to ensure loan disbursements sent by wire are complete, accurate and processed timely.
  • Resolve disputes between UNFCU and members using knowledge of loan process and legal requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance for other processors following loan fundings.
  • Perform user acceptance testing for loan agreement changes, product updates, new products, and software changes.
  • Provide training for Consumer Lending products, processes and systems.
  • Act as a resource in the Consumer Lending department.
  • Participate in credit union training programs and any other function as requested.
