Consumer and Community Banking Compliance plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm's compliance mission.  The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules that govern our business. Compliance teams work closely with Business, Controls, Legal, Risk, and Audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm's compliance control environment.


The role of our Compliance organization is to support the company in maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and compliance with both the spirit and intent of the many laws, rules, and regulations that govern JP Morgan Chase’s Consumer and Community Banking (CCB).


Position Description

The Compliance Practices Team supports the broader CCB Compliance organization through execution of the required Control Management framework and also ensures consistent delivery and adherence with the Firmwide Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) Monitoring & Testing Program.  The successful candidate will have strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills; experience producing high-quality reports and strong follow-up skills are essential.  The candidate will also deliver on ad hoc assignments as needed, including support of exam and audit requests.



  • Manage Audit and Exam engagements across CCB Compliance which impact the Monitoring and Testing practice
  • Ensure holistic and consistent approach to initiatives across CCB’s Compliance Conduct and Operational Risk Monitoring and Testing Program
  • Communicates the results of the Monitoring and Testing program by producing presentations, developing metrics and reporting for Senior Management
  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Manage department’s engagement and adherence with the Record Retention program
  • Ownership and corresponding responsibilities for department SharePoint sites and Shared Drives

·         BA required, Masters a plus

·         5+ years of Compliance, Risk, or Audit experience preferred, but not mandatory

·         Ability to collaborate with functional experts to provide risk assessment guidance, recognize risks, control gaps, and design enhancements

·         Work autonomously in a fast-paced, highly structured environment with the ability to adapt to change as necessary and work effectively with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds

·         Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency

·         Excellent communication skills - ability to organize data and findings in a professional and concise manor; producing executive level summaries and presentations

·         Process analysis/design acumen - ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design

·         Detail oriented with an ability to identify trends or outliers in data sets

·         Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills MS Office with an emphasis on Excel
