The Position

The Chase Communications team is seeking a Communications Associate/Senior Associate Tableau and Alteryx developer to help us continue the journey of using data and insights to drive employee engagement and give our team of communicators decision-making data.


In this role, you’ll provide data & analytics support for all communications across Consumer & Community Banking, serving as our in-house analytics and insight expert. This includes building and developing dashboards and custom reporting using raw data.  Our communications are modern and next-gen with lots of embedded multimedia, so we’re looking for someone who can analyze employee behavior, monitor channel traffic and track engagement patterns to help determine the proper distribution and editorial strategy for current / future campaigns.


Key Responsibilities


Data Analytics

  •  Build executive-level Tableau dashboards for all internal distribution channels
  • Collect and stitch together data from across multiple platforms and data sources using Alteryx to assemble a complete view of communications performance

  • Conduct analytical assessments of email, intranet, events and mobile post performance, isolating key drivers of success that align to business goals

  • Develop measurement plans based on strategic imperatives, communications objectives and content creation strategies

  • Identify and interpret key drivers behind content performance

  • Build relationships with data and technology owners

Channel Optimization & Communication Deep Dives


  • Communicate channel or campaign performance to internal team members and communications leadership
  • Collaborate with communications partners on devising data-driven analysis to generate actionable insights and optimization of strategic improvements to editorial strategy

  • Plan and forecast optimal scenarios to improve communications

  • Relate communications efforts with business outcomes that improved readership and engagement across the Consumer and Community Banking employee base

  • Provide deep analysis on campaigns and events outlined by senior management and lines of business  

As part of our high-performing team, you’ll also be asked to contribute to the evolution of our communications function to meet the changing demands of the business by recommending innovative and creative solutions and sharing knowledge and best practices.


In addition, you may be asked to provide coding support for the execution of leadership off-sites, townhall events and large-scale meetings, as well as the distribution of messages, development and maintenance of job aides and SharePoint sites.


Above all, you must be a team player who can effectively partner across teams and stakeholder groups to achieve shared goals.


Required skills

  • BS/MS in a quantitative/analytical discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math or similar

  • 5+ years of experience delivering actionable insights and partnering with business partners to deliver measurable results

  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, Alteryx, etc.

  • Experience analyzing digital communications performance using tools like Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture, etc.

  • Experience using data visualization tools to succinctly convey results/trends and insights to business partners with tools like Tableau, Business Objects or MicroStrategy

  • Expert in building Excel workbooks and PivotTables

  • Demonstrated experience asking the right questions to explore ideas and choose appropriate techniques for solving any given problem

  • Superior written, oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of business partners

  • Experience presenting recommendations in a clear and concise way to "tell a story" with data

  • Ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
