Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.


Wholesale Loan Operations (WLO) services several lines of business groups within JPMorgan Chase, including Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Asset Management, and Corporate and Investment Banking.  Key functions include loan documentation, loan closing and funding, loan syndication and trade processing, collateral perfection and management, and customer service and reporting.


This position reports directly to the WLO Booking and Servicing Manager and has exposure to all areas of WLO and key business partners.  The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with WLO Senior Leaders, Business Leaders and Subject Matter Experts as well as partners in Commercial Banking to include Compliance, Control Office, Risk & Legal.


This Business Management Associate will be handling business management duties, project management and other key operational related duties.

  • Communication management – write announcements and prepare and when needed deliver presentations for the business.Financial planning and analysis – review financial data, perform financial analysis, and manage headcount forecasting and reconciliation.
  • Production meeting coordination – request, collect, and consolidate data from Booking and Servicing groups (Chicago and Bangalore) for the purpose of tracking production data, problem-solving and decision making.
  • Management reporting – oversee and coordinate reporting of key issues and measuring business results for management related to quality, service, efficiency, risk and other metrics.
  • Event planning – oversee planning and execution of special events as needed.
  • Point of Contact – act as a central coordination contact for business partner requests (e.g. Finance, Legal, Technology, HR, etc.)
  • Staff meetings – gather agenda topics & distribute, manage and follow up on action items.
  • Project management – create project plans, display ability to communicate with senior management regarding project progress, facilitating discussions and resolving conflict through broad decision making; Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, and deliverables; manage overall project plans.
  • Change management - ability to analyze processes, make recommendations for change, document and implement change.
This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems.  Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter.  The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 - 5 years experience in business management, operations management, or project management in the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations (preferably loan operations)
  • Ability to lead change by building effective partnerships at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to create formal presentations for executive management
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting
  • Experience with event planning
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite
