The Commercial Banking Client Service team is considered an integral part of the overall relationship team.  Service team members serve as the primary point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients and are expected to be the client advocate while being ultimately responsible for the client experience through the handling of the service and account management needs of clients who utilize domestic and international depository and treasury products. 

 

Position Overview

 

The Project Management Manager is responsible for driving end to end management on-going activities and initiatives related to core business activities (i.e., technology management, business resiliency, incident management, etc.).  Must demonstrate ownership and accountability of the entire process, including consulting with business partners to clarify, define objectives & deliverables, identify key stakeholders and project participants as well as providing day-to-day support of employee and client needs.  In addition to ongoing project management support, this position will extend the delivery of client advocacy and support through key client issue escalation and ongoing engagement on complex and non-routine client impact issues.  The candidate will work closely with Client Service management, and key operational and technology partners while determining solutions to root cause.

 

 

Core Responsibilities:   

 

  • Consult with business partners to clarify, define and document project objectives, deliverables as well as identify key stakeholders and project participants.
  • Drive end to end project management, demonstrating ownership and accountability of the entire process beginning to end.
  • Coordinate and conduct process reviews (process mapping), including extensive business analysis, with subsequent need to present recommendations and suggestions to stakeholders.
  • Consult with business partners to clarify, define and document project objectives, deliverables as well as identify key stakeholders and project participants.
  • Drive end to end project management, demonstrating ownership and accountability of the entire process beginning to end.
  • Coordinate and conduct process reviews (process mapping), including extensive business analysis, with subsequent need to present recommendations and suggestions to stakeholders.
  • Drive the analysis and definition of solutions across key business, regulatory, or control priorities.
  • Provide management with quality analysis, thoughtful recommendations, and key reporting to make decisions on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
  • Develop and refine detailed project plans, document key milestones, owners and target dates, highlight dependencies where appropriate – provide full transparency to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Develop effective and meaningful presentations & project update materials suitable for stakeholders, business partners and project participants regarding overall project progress and recommendations/decisions.
  • Identify, document and manage project risks/issues through resolution, escalating as appropriate.
  • Engages and holds accountable all project participants based upon agreed roles and responsibilities.
  • Schedule, facilitate and be an active participant in meetings and discussions.
  • Prepare agendas and distribute meeting documentation to enable preparation and participation of key meeting participants.
  • Distribute meetings summaries and list of actions, holding individuals accountable for completion.
  • Ensure proper project management standards and rigor are applied to execution.
  • Effectively manage scope of projects and the expectation of project stakeholders. 

 

 

The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer.  It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level. 

 

Qualifications:                                                                                  


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years financial services market, operations, business systems and / or technology experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of program / project management or change readiness experience

  • Strong proficiency with project management methodology and the project management lifecycle

  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills with ability to turn findings into strategic recommendations/suggestions

  • Superior ability to structure and scope complex problems, apply a range of analytical tools, gain and synthesize insights and develop solutions; creative thinker with strategic mindset

  • Proven ability to lead, challenge, adapt to changing business landscapes and influence without having positional authority

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to develop strong client and business partner relationships

  • Excellent working knowledge of operations and risk concepts and the ability to interpret and understanding the impact of decisions, as well as identify and convey potential problem areas

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Cash Management and Treasury Services experience, a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio & SharePoint

  • MBA preferred

  • Experience in Six Sigma, LEAN methodologies preferred
