Commercial Banking (“CB”) Compliance supports the CB line of business, which includes the Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI), Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI), International Banking, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Credit Markets / Treasury Services and Loan Operations. CB generally serves clients with $10MM - $2B in annual revenue, and also includes specialized industry groups that focus on government, not-for-profit, healthcare, financial institutions and not for profit businesses.

 

The CB Compliance group is seeking a Compliance Manager to support the regulatory compliance program of CB. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and managerial skills, as well as team building experience and project management skills. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing guidance to the business (including front office, support and operations staff) on all applicable banking laws and regulations such as, Federal Reserve alpha regulations and OCC rules and regulations. To provide such guidance, the team works closely with the rest of CB Compliance, CB Legal & Operational Risk Management and Global Compliance. A combination of the following abilities is critical: thinking outside the box, working independently, managing many different projects simultaneously, researching and applying difficult concepts, and communicating effectively with all levels of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Advise CB on all compliance topics
  • Evaluate compliance risks and related business controls
  • Interface with CB Compliance Practices to deliver appropriate compliance testing and learning coverage for the businesses
  • Assist in regulatory exam management / interactions & internal audits
  • Identify and articulate metrics that support the compliance program
  • Act as liaison for senior business leaders in support of the broader compliance program
  • Coordinate with CB Legal, Global Compliance & Operational Risk to implement strong compliance culture
  • Develop and deliver ad-hoc live training sessions / programs as needed

  • Strong decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently and think outside the box.
  • Manage projects effectively and execute in a timely fashion.
  • Effective communication skills, including strong writing and presentation skills as well as the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or professional certification preferred
  • Financial Industry and Regulatory Compliance experience including management / project management experience (5-7 years)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and writing skills
  • Proficiency with  U.S. banking regulations
