This position is responsible for many activities to support the Commercial Banking (“CB”) Risk Administration team, in support of the Commercial Banking Risk organization.

 

This position requires an experienced risk professional who is able to perform well in a fast-paced environment. This role directly contributes to the development of the Chief Risk Officer’s risk objectives and requires a commitment to achieving these objectives, which include regulatory/control discipline and credit risk process enhancements.

 

 

 

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Knowledge of bank policy and procedural impacts on credit risk

  • Coordinate and assist with the presentation of project updates to senior management

  • Represent CB risk on various working groups related to regulatory matters, new processes or other issues.

  • Serve as a point of contact with partners such as Wholesale Loan Operations, the Wholesale Loan Middle Office, Global Trade Services, audit, legal and compliance for MMBSI

  • Administration of the Client Legal Doc program for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment of CB Risk.

  • Management of CB Risk’s system access, including maintenance of the access strategy document(s), quarterly access recertification and partnership with the CB Security Administration team.

  • Oversight of key activities within the Credit Risk organization.

  • Support audit preparation and fieldwork as needed.

  • Represent CB Risk in various working groups related to regulatory matters, new processes or other issues.

  • Implementation and/or refinement of processes in the business to ensure compliance with policy.

  • Serve as a liaison and user advocate in technical work including application enhancement, UAT and training, as needed.

  • Function as a general resource for Credit Risk.

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6 or more years banking including experience in credit underwriting, risk administration, audit or project management.

  • Strong understanding of credit and operational risk.

  • Commercial& Industrial credit experience required.  Additional background in real estate, consumer or other risk disciplines is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve measurable results.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational fortitude.

  • Proven leadership qualities, enhanced by strong written and verbal presentation skills.

  • Ability to recommend and implement process improvements.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Location negotiable.
