At JPMorgan Chase, the goal of the Commercial Bank Campus Programs is to attract, develop, and retain a diverse pipeline of junior talent who can efficiently and effectively deliver results for the Commercial Bank analyst programs in Corporate Client Banking, Middle Market Banking and Commercial Real Estate.  These programs support entry-level talent in building key professional, leadership and business competency skills through challenging roles, career management guidance, structured training and development and ongoing performance management.


The role of the Campus Recruiting Lead is to provide strategic leadership and manage the US team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators who are responsible for:


Key Programs:


  • Internship Program – 10 week summer and academic programs with over 500 hires in 8 locations; the internship program serves as the primary pipeline for full time program hiring.
  • Full-time Program – 2 year entry level program with approximately 300 hires in 8 locations that provides training and development within Technology and is a pipeline for all Lines of Business across the firm


Responsibilities - Recruiting Strategy


  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of campus recruiting hires for the Commerical Bank analyst programs
  • Develop a diversity and sourcing strategy to help ensure the intake of junior talent appropriately reflects the target population
  • Regularly evaluate sources of hire (schools visited, corporate programs, diversity organizations, referrals, etc.) and correlate back to cost per hire and performance. Adjust sourcing strategy as necessary
  • Outline strategic plans and present regular updates to senior management and diversity committees about the overall recruiting strategy/processes.
  • Formulate selling strategies for those candidates with offers
  • Manage and maintain campus recruiting budget to ensure that costs are in line and appropriate
  • Develop expertise on recruiting techniques, competitive intelligence, generational insight, and interviewing skills
  • Ensure that all recruiting activities are conducted in a framework of strong compliance and control, including effective and structured processes for interviewing and evaluating candidates
  • Track and analyze recruiting stats and metrics on an on-going basis, to identify strategic significance and provide trends to key stakeholders


People and Relationship Management:


  • Develop strong working relationships with key business stakeholders to help motivate their participation in recruiting efforts. including participation in recruiting events and as interviewers
  • Partner with other recruiting managers to share best practices and implement firm-wide recruiting initiatives
  • Manage recruiting team and help individuals set goals and objectives, provide regular feedback and coaching
  • Ensure proper visibility of recruiting program with management, schools, and other key constituents (e.g. meet regularly with career services directors)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with campus recruiting managers, University Relations, HR technology and operations partners, and other line of business recruiting teams


Marketing/ Branding/Education:


  • Partner with the Marketing team to execute internet and on-campus branding and marketing
  • Manage content of marketing materials (web site, on-campus presentation, brochure, job descriptions, campus FAQs, etc.)


  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years relevant experience
  • Financial Services, Recruiting, entry-level program management and/or related knowledge/experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate the business strategy into a comprehensive campus recruitment agenda
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities; ability to multi-task with demonstrated track record of setting and executing end-to-end project or program strategies
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders across a broad organization
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess situations using both qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Judgment in managing conflict; solving problems and making sound decisions in a fast paced environment
