Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) is a Commercial Banking business located in 117 offices across the US and Canada. MMBSI provides credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and not-for-profit entities via our Core Banking and Specialized Industries teams.

The Treasury Solutions Sales Group Executive for Western Region reports to the Head of Middle Market Treasury Services Sales and is partnered with the Banking Segment Heads for the Region. The role is responsible for; Developing and executing our market strategy, leading over 20+ Treasury Sales professionals, establishing relationships across Commercial Bank Leadership team; Bankers, Client Service, Treasury Product, and Implementations.

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • Lead team of Treasury Management Officers to deliver business growth objectives
  • Recruit, train, lead, coach, and motivate California Market Team
  • Monitor staff performance, provides coaching, recognition and feedback.
  • Oversees Middle Market West Region Treasury Solutions budget, sales goals and P&L
  • Develop, monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness relative to key metric performance and goals
  • Work with leadership to formulate and execute market strategy for Treasury Solutions
  • Develop regional/district strategies to drive growth
  • Build collaborative internal relationships
  • Participates in partner meetings and communicates key Treasury Management messages
  • Cultivate larger prospect relationships of regional/national scope
  • Oversee the development of actionable relationship plans for select clients
  • Manage, guide and coach development of client proposals/presentations
  • Engages in a disciplined marketing process and quality call activities
  • Manages customer expectations by communicating upfront timelines and deliverables
  • Partners with the client to ensure a successful implementation of Treasury Solutions
  • Protects the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead/execute special projects and assignments

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required
  • 10+ years’ experience in Treasury Services, Financial Services or related business experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience in managing geographically distributed team, manager of managers  
  • Deep understanding of the Western Region market.
  • Sales management in an outside business to business sales team with a track record of success
  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury market
  • Strong coaching, motivation and leadership skills;
  • Ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote field sales managers
  • Ability to develop, drive and articulate strategy and lead a sales force

  • Develop and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Influence those outside of direct management control.

  • Leverage expert knowledge to proactively and creatively present solutions to clients and prospects or to guide a team to this result.

  • Direct and guide a team to accomplish objectives.
  • Provide strong leadership across a team, provide business guidance and support. Ability to coordinate inside sales infrastructure.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with multiple levels of the organization (internally and externally)

  • Identify a problems root cause and drive to resolution
  • Direct escalations and ensure follow through.
Performance Measurement
  • Sense of urgency and ability to manage and deliver all facets of performance management (coaching, career mobility, reviews, action plans, etc.)
  • Measure key performance metrics and drive organization accordingly
Business Acumen
  • Understand the overarching Middle Market Treasury Service business environment both internally and externally.
  • Drive business results in alignment with strategic objectives and controls.
Other Key Competencies
  • change management, process management, coaching, strategic leadership, consultancy, delegation, interviewing, exceptional presentation skills
  • Knowledge of credit card industry, banking environment, or merchant services is preferred, but not required
  • Available for frequent travel as a part of MMBSI leadership team
