Monthly I.T. Test Release Service Manager

Job Description

Utilizes technology and software engineering to bring operational efficiency to Consumer and Community Banking’s (CCB) Coordinated Release, Monthly Release, Integrated Test Environment Management, and Planned Event Management processes.

Here, you’ll oversee application issues throughout: troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving them as needed. You’ll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you’ll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary and staffing issues.  You’ll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global network of innovators.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures CR process compliance by participating teams, including adherence to CR timeline and content eligibility
  • Resolves issues and mitigates risks threatening health of a CR
  • Operates the Release Management Workgroup (RMW) linking line of business release teams to Release Test Management processes and deliverables 
  • Regularly communicates each CR’s scope and content along release timeline, with focus on higher-value initiatives
  • Owner of CR process improvement, including identification and delivery of process efficiency and quality backlog
  • Owns CR metrics, supporting data models and quality data reporting
  • Populates, maintains and archives release-specific SharePoint sites
  • Conducts process training for line of business employees
  • Provides Command Center support during deployment events

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of development tool-set to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company wide standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Advanced knowledge of product delivery life-cycle
  • Deep experience with product, program, and/or Release Management
  • Expert process and risk manager
  • Working knowledge of testing, integrated test environments, and batch operations
  • Skilled at navigating the organization, building partnerships, and holding release teams accountable for timely, high-quality delivery
  • Above-average communication skills to work across multiple job families and job levels
  • Strong discretionary effort.  Anticipates when and how to insert themselves
  • Ability to manage multiple in-flight responsibilities and a high volume of detailed work effectively.  Organization and attention to detail is paramount
  • Hands-on experience administering SharePoint (or similar tools)
  • Considerable experience working with complex data models, manipulation, formulas, queries, pivot tables and visualization
