Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others


Chase Business Banking (BB) serves more than 2 million clients nationally, including small businesses, municipalities and not-for-profit entities with annual revenue generally ranging up to $20 million. Chase is a leading national Small Business Administration lender.  Delivering a broad array of financial solutions with local expertise and dedicated service, BB partners with the firm's other businesses to provide comprehensive solutions, including lending, deposit products and treasury services to meet its clients' financial needs.

  • Conduct moderate to complex risk analysis and generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning customer selection including strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring to provide management with credit quality trends, desired risk/return relationships and portfolio performance.

  • Develop and maintain periodic MIS to ensure management has full insight into emerging risk trends and the credit quality of the portfolio.

  • Attain a detailed understanding of key portfolio performance metrics and profitability drivers enabling the delivery of insights to management encompassing the full account lifecycle.

  • Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. underwriting, collections) which will aid in understanding portfolio performance drivers.

  • Improve the underwriting decisions, including approval/decline decisions on Business Banking credit applications, their credit lines and corresponding price.

  • Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management.

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering (Any), Computer Science, or related quantitative field

    •  plus 2 years of experience in Risk Management

  • OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering (Any), Computer Science, or related quantitative field

    •  plus 5 years of experience in Risk Management

    • Experience with data transformation, data manipulations and data mining using SAS.

  • Experience in extracting data from large datasets with millions of records and providing insights based on the results

  • Strong skills using SQL Queries in Teradata, Oracle, DB2 or Sybase
  • Experience in data analysis using Excel Pivot Tables and charts providing business insights

  • Experience preparing Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations to support business decisions and share with senior management for approval

  • Experience updating documents supporting business requirements, technical and functional design to develop business solutions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Executive Management risk reporting. Business banking experience.
