Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others


The Vice President in Credit and Loss Forecasting will be responsible for the oversight and reporting of the Credit loss forecast and loan loss reserve (LLR) for the Chase mortgage portfolio.


The position will interact with the Home Lending Credit Forecast team located both in US and India, as well as partners in Controller, Finance, and Technology. This will be a key position in the Home Lending Credit Forecasting group responsible for providing senior management with forecast results, preparing loss forecast memos as well as the CCAR narrative.


The successful candidate will excel at clearly and concisely summarizing large amounts of information and data in order to develop a senior level presentation. Additional skills need include communication and problem solving, be detail oriented, self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide information to management by assembling, interpreting and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, along with analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
  • Manage interactions and communication with both internal and external regulators (i.e. PWC, Internal Audit) on all aspects of the loss forecast and LLR
  • Develop story boards of how the forecast has changed from one period to the next
  • Understand the Credit forecast process and needs and rationale for business decisions
  • Support all results through appropriate documentation
  • Expected to work on multiple projects with limited guidance
  • Mentor other analysts to help them develop their risk management skills and knowledge
  • Assist in data and forecast results analysis in a business and financial context

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated achievement in risk management, financial or portfolio analysis and project management
  • Minimum 2-4 years of mortgage banking or financial reporting experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization is required
  • Ability to storyboard along with the ability to defend storyboard position

  • Advance knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Project)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills required
  • Must have good judgment with the demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Ability to work independently & manage projects and deadlines
