The Portfolio Growth marketing team is responsible for driving incremental high‐quality customer growth for the Consumer Bank (CB) through prospect acquisition, customer relationship deepening and engagement initiatives. The Customer Deepening Marketing Manager is responsible for launching and leading strategies to drive growth of new deposit relationships with existing credit card-only Chase customers.


This role is to help shape the direction of our firm’s customer deepening efforts in collaboration with a dedicated cross-functional team and with senior leaders across LOBs. The Customer Deepening Marketing Manager role provides an opportunity to build and lead high-visibility, high-impact initiatives supporting one of the largest Marketing strategies within Consumer Bank and will provide significant exposure to all functional areas within Consumer Bank Marketing (strategy, analytics, channel management, creative, execution, etc.), Finance, as well as other lines of business across Chase.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead high-visibility deposit deepening strategy for Chase credit card-only Chase customers

  • Drive planning for upcoming campaigns with cross-functional teams, including channels, populations, testing road maps

  • Collaborate with leaders across the business to discuss new strategies, opportunities, and to provide updates to senior leaders

  • Regularly present the investment plan to senior department leaders to obtain strategy buy-in, resource commitments, and funding approvals

  • Closely manage program performance of programs for response rates, new accounts, deposit balances, and other major profitability targets

  • In close collaboration with marketing analytics, ensure all tests and channels are supported by comprehensive measurement plan; review and distill results of tests and recommend future test and learn opportunities

  • In collaboration with Marketing Operations, develop and manage a creative testing road map, across all channels, inclusive of (direct mail, paid search, chase.com ads, landing pages, etc.)

      • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Analytics, Finance or related field

      • 7+ years’ experience in digital, direct-to-consumer marketing;  financial services industry experience a plus

      • Team player with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization, influence partners, build consensus, and work across various functional departments

      • Proven experience crafting well-structured strategic marketing plans using qualitative and quantitative data and producing measurable results

      • Ability to present and discuss ideas with intent to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding across all levels of the organization
      • Experienced manager of marketing budgets, forecasts, and expected returns
