CCB Treasury - Financial Analysis - Vice President

Job Description

The Vice President is responsible for supporting the Treasury finance function within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB). This opportunity challenges the candidate to provide strategic vision related to asset-liability management (ALM) through multi-faceted analytics.

This position will have core treasury concepts/responsibilities across interest rate risk, liquidity management, pricing, and resource allocation for Home Lending, Auto, and Credit Card line of businesses which comprise of more than $450B of loans and leases.

The candidate will work cross-functionally with LOB revenue and credit forecasting teams, LOB pricing teams and CFOs, LOB Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Treasury and the Chief Investment Office (CIO), as well as partners across the firm.

Responsibilities include:
  • Revise assumptions related to BPV/DV01, internal stress net funding outflows and liquidity, resource allocation, and funds transfer pricing (FTP) in conjunction with corporate treasury
  • Perform analytics on risk weighted assets (RWA), regulatory and economic capital, earning at risk (EaR), and balance sheet optimization
  • Explain uses and sources of liquidity as well as changes in the mix and growth/reduction of balance sheet positions
  • Manage and monitor resolution and recovery planning and new business initiative approval process
  • • Develop pro forma analysis of Home Lending, Auto and Credit Card loans in order advise pricing strategy
  • Support efforts to advance multi-product relationship pricing analytics and offers
  • Partner with quantitative modeling team to provide vision, business intuition, and build best-in-class models and analytical frameworks for loan pricing, forecasting and investment decision making
  • Become a loan data expert, utilizing a data warehouse to inform modeling approaches, understand customer behavior and growth, research outliers, and prepare sensitivity analysis
  • Write formal documentation to support treasury assumptions for model and estimation risk governance
  • Create technology requirements related to forecast automation and online implementation of models, financial assumptions, and FTP execution
  • Partner with other LOBs and functions to ensure best practices across the entire organization
  • Promote consistency of loan valuation across the businesses

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required (finance, economics, statistics, math, MIS); CFA or Masters degree preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial analytics, treasury, pricing, financial services at a financial institution or management consulting firm
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to find relationships and identify patterns in large datasets and to see business implications of findings
  • Able to communicate with a variety of peers including data engineering teams and quantitative modeling teams
  • Working knowledge of mortgage, card, and auto loan portfolios and business models
  • Ability to translate data into concise, insightful, and actionable recommendations
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; VBA is a plus
  • Familiarity of Hyperion Essbase
  • Aspiration to become a future leader and manager of others at the firm
