The Commercial Bank (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the CB to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.

 

The CB Procedures Team within the Controls and Continuity Services supports the end-to-end management of online procedure libraries, including:   initial library creation, publishing, ongoing maintenance, procedural communications, and managing the annual review and attestation of published procedures and supporting documentation.

 

The team is seeking a Procedure Editor who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day editing and maintenance for published documents as assigned.

  

Core Responsibilities:

 

• Manage a queue of ongoing business as usual (BAU) change requests received from business partners for updates to published documents.

• Manage the annual attestation process for a defined set of published documents. Includes managing the annual review schedule and completing related change requests.

• Ensure documents conform to prescribed templates and style guidelines by performing the following editing and publishing tasks (often directly in RoboHelp software):

•Applying style standards and utilizing project processes and templates

•Translating procedures from passive voice to active voice, using numbered lists and if-then tables as appropriate

•Identifying keywords to enhance search results

•Incorporating reviewers' edits and answers, ensuring authorized approvals, and finalizing documents for publication

• Conduct time-sensitive quality assurance checks/peer reviews for other team members.

• Assist with posting supporting documents and generating updates using the publishing application.

• Update SharePoint list items to help track the workflow of BAU procedure changes.

•  Provide any information necessary to support communications related to procedural changes.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience, particularly editing and reformatting detailed procedural documents into succinct, easy to follow steps.
  • Competency with external style guides (Chicago Manual of Style, Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, and AP Stylebook)
  • Competency with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Must be able to prioritize workloads, multitask, and react quickly to consistently changing business expectations.
  • Makes positive contribution to team dynamic by consistently demonstrating enthusiasm and executing with urgency

 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
  • Knowledge of financial services functions, operations, and awareness of regulatory and compliance environments.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp.
  • Proficiency leveraging SharePoint for collaboration and workflow purposes.
  • A team player, must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with an ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Responds to client requests with accuracy and within agreed timelines and SLAs

  • Ensures completion of daily processes and compliance with relevant procedures, policies, controls, regulations and escalation protocols
