CCB Risk

Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

 





Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Policy and Governance Manager is responsible for the design, implementation and sustainability of the CCB Risk Governance Framework.  This includes managing all CCB Risk policy, procedures and standards, overseeing the risk and control committees, and driving out the regulatory change management process.

 
  • Reports to the Head of CCB Risk Controls and Governance.

  • Responsibility for the team in CCB Risk that manages governance, policies and legal obligations for the following Risk teams:  Card, Auto, Consumer Bank, Mortgage, Business Banking, Merchant Services, Dealer Commercial Services and the Risk centers of excellence including Loss Forecasting, Modeling, Chief Operating Office and Risk Data and Technology.
  • High interaction with and responsibility to each member of the CCB Risk leadership team.
 

Specific responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following 

  • Develop and update CCB Risk Management policies, procedures and standards to drive adherence to all relevant rules and regulations as well as Firmwide Polices governing the Consumer Credit Risk lifecycle, which includes lending authority, risk strategy development, credit originations, credit monitoring, credit reporting, and collections.
  • Identify and implement processes to streamline and automate document management, review and approval processes.
  • Provide oversight and support for Risk Committees across the lines of business, ensuring appropriate escalation of key matters and risks.
  • Manage and facilitate the CCB Risk Business Control Committee, driving out content and coordinating presenters and attendees
  • Primary interface with the CCB Risk and Control Committee on escalations and agenda topics and preparing the CCB Chief Risk Officer for Firmwide Risk and Control committees.
  • Lead CCB Risk efforts to identify all legal obligations and the corresponding processes that drive compliance with these obligations.  Work across CCB, CCB Risk and other business lines and functions to evaluate any changes required and update the end to end processes as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in finance, law, business management or economics preferred.
  • Professional experience must include at least ten recent years of applicable business and management level experience.
  • Financial services/Consumer lending industry experience preferred, with knowledge of credit-related laws and regulations and experience interacting with regulators, bank examiners, and regulatory issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Experience with developing and executing plans to adhere to regulatory and policy requirements across multiple lines of business and functions.
  • The ability to engage multiple stakeholders, across all levels and lines of business including external regulators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations and documents.
