Chase Consumer & Community Banking serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk.


The Business Manager will be responsible for a variety of duties that cut across the entire Credit Forecasting COE team.  Duties will include a variety of BAU activities and innovation to further enhance the capability of the team.   This individual will develop, coordinate and manage strategic initiatives and special projects for the CCB Credit Forecasting Center of Excellence.  He/she will also provide project management for BAU business operations of the team on a number of different initiatives.

  • Manage business operations and provide program management for Credit Forecasting Center of Excellence, including:
    • Coordinate annual Budget and MYF processes
    • Preparation and consolidation of insightful analysis and commentary for CCB Loss Forecasting financials including budget/forecast/outlook variances
    • Assist with materials for CCB leadership team meetings and external forums (i.e. Investor Day)
    • Provide project leadership in dashboard development.  Develop framework and translate large data sets into dynamic, flexible, and meaningful executive ready visualizations
    • Work to enhance consistency across existing processes and reporting to meet changing needs of the business and drive process synergies
    • Report Control oversight/implementation
    • Policy and Procedure Management
    • Ad hoc operations (User Tool Management, real estate, corporate initiatives around governance and operational excellence)
  • Manage and advance the people agenda toward building a culture of collaboration via various initiatives including town halls, lunch and learns, newsletters, and team events
  • Develop learning programs for the CCB Credit Forecasting COE teams
  • Partner closely with team leadership to develop solutions; create structure and drive results and set direction for team
  • Deliver insightful recommendations in a persuasive and thoughtful manner
  • Build consensus and effectively influence senior stakeholders with disparate priorities
  • Adopt a pragmatic approach in driving projects from ideation stage to execution
  • Develop granular project plans with clear delineation of roles, tasks, milestones, and measures of success



The ideal candidate has experience successfully delivering broad complex projects in matrix work environments.  He/she has strong analytical skills, is highly confident, collaborative, detail oriented, and thrives in a high-pressure and high-expectations environment.  He/she has a strong presence, superior influencing skills, is comfortable working directly with senior executives, effectively communicating and discussing strategic business considerations and project details at the appropriate level.

  • 5- 10 years of experience working as a Program or Business Operations Manager in the financial services industry with in experience in credit risk management
  • Bachelor degree required; experience in risk, finance and regulatory a plus
  • Ability to grasp large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop and recommend solutions
  • Social aptitude - Ability to build consultative relationships with senior management, becoming a trusted partner for thinking strategically about the risk management organization and the CCB organization as a whole
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • High level of proficiency at written/verbal communication – ability to interface with senior management and deliver compelling presentation materials that summarize complex tasks, timelines and tradeoffs
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when working without immediate supervision
  • Ability to multitask and re-prioritize assignments while maintaining strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities combined with “big picture” problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Assertive and self-motivated
  • Past compliance or regulatory experience a plus
